“Making Friends” by artist Allejandro Torres and Stephanie Acuna. Part of the 2007 Snoopy's Joe Cool Summer art project in Santa Rosa, CA. Taken during the final week, when all the statues were on display in the ballpark down the hill from the Charles M. Schulz Museum. Another of my personal favorites from this year's statues.

James Gray (VC Londres CC) making last minute adjustments to his track racing bicycle prior to the start of the Full Gas Good Friday Track Cycling Meet, Lee Valley VeloPark, London, UK.
Good Friday track racing is an iconic and annual UK tradition that stretches back to 1903 when the first meeting was held at the the outdoor Herne Hill Velodrome in south London.
The Full Gas Good Friday Meet is an open competition that sees amateur, professional and club-level riders competing on the same track.
Lee Valley VeloPark velodrome in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park was the track cycling venue for the London 2012 Games and has previously hosted the UCI Track Cycling World Championships and other major cycling events.

Making bricks for houses from the red earth. Zebu powered cart passing by and being overtaken by an SUV, on the road from Antananarivo to Antsirabe, Madagascar. I can't pinpoint the exact location on the map and the satellite images don't get very close in this area.
This really nice woman in Kuala Lumpur was making the flower offerings used every day by the Budhists and sold in many many shops on the street. Our cab driver had his new one made by his wife on the dashboard of the car every day...
Mahayana practices
Mahayana material offerings might be imbued with the following symbology:
* the lighting of a candle or an oil lamp represents the light of wisdom illuminating the darkness of ignorance.
* the burning of incense represents the fragrant scent of morality.
* flowers represents the aspiration to achieve the body of the Buddha with the thirty-two marks of the Buddha as well as the teaching of impermanence. Alternately, a Zen verse expresses the desire for the mind's "flowers" to "bloom in the springtime of enlightenment."[14]
* food, fruit, water, drinks represents the nectar of Dharma and the wish to achieve it. (Wikapidia)
