Swapped the original drop bars out for a pair of swept back Velo-Orange Tourist's, changed the drop style brake levers to straight bar style (both are vintage Weinmann's), and put some new cork grips on. This was taken before I added a couple coats of Shellac to the grips.
Because the new brake levers required different wire fittings, this project afforded me my first opportunity to replace brake wires. I don't know what I was so afraid of - it was easy!
