The old east coast mainline from riccall to york is now a cycle path and the part from riccall to escrick (station) is where i took these bridge photos

With the mainline closed from Truro, services that usually continued to Penzance had to terminate. Here we see Cross Country Voyager 221129 at Exeter St Davids with (1V62) 12.08 Edinburgh-Truro.

Not usually a fan of the Voyager, but the fact they have destination displays is rather handy when you want to capture a service with an unusual destination! I also like the re-designed front ends which has made identifying these units a bit easier.

on the Philly main line, mostly around Lower Merion, I've been noticing how common it is to see the orthodox Jewish folks actually observing their Sabbath by walking roadside on Friday evenings and Saturdays, as well as other holy days.

It's odd, because I don't know if I've ever observed any of my own traditions (religious or otherwise) quite that faithfully.
