Just picked up one of the brand new Apple Magic Mice. First impressions with it are really good - nice design and easy to use. The momentum scrolling is really nice and the whole experience seems pretty good so far.
Collection of items in my house that reminded me of aliens or UFOs
Top left: Sony A850 on my new Panosaurus Panoramic head
Top right: Apple Magic Mouse
Bottom left: Wire lamp - 2 composites
Bottom right: Altec Lansing Expressionist™ Bass– FX3022
I took a panorama of my workspace then edited it heavily to add all the people playing with the items placed on the desk . the idea is kind of " Typical lads " but also we are a close friendship ground of designers so also just practical jokes having fun and enjoying your job is the thought behind it !
The Magic Trackpad with the Wireless Keyboard, Magic and Mighty Mice, as well as the Magic Trackpad box.
Un poco deteriorado en el exterior, de las horas de uso. Sigue dando mucha guerra. Cuando me haga con una tableta gráfica ya descansara mas el pobre.
Thursday Poutine at Masse. Played billard and talked with some cool friends of derpina. Only one month left, i'll try to make it special
That's my hearts desire, I hope it proves to be just that, more often than not... Thank you Jesus for all you've done for me and my wife and family and all those who call upon your name...

This is my current setup. I don't have my 24" iMac anymore. When I want to watch movies, I hook that white cord up that you see in the background, to the TV that you can't see. The wireless keyboard, and mouse are great for when I sit on the couch behind me. Sometimes I browse the web on the TV as well. Shows pretty clear too.
samsung lcd is wall mounted. both monitor & speakers are wired in-wall. a mac mini & g drive are in the top drawer, wired to a numeric keyboard and magic mouse; also an apple extreme for wireless printing & a roku player.
humanscale freedom chair designed by niels diffrient - both intuitive & comfortable.
the flat panel speakers are planar magnetic transducers w 2.5" mid-range cones; the vented-cube houses a monopole subwoofer w an active crossover. this little system delivers clear, realistic sound.
Someone [1] on SML Facebook [2] commented that SML should be careful to not trip from the cables on the desk. While cable management continues to be an issue, the real issue with the current work space is not cable management but work surface availability.
Right now I am using a MUJI dining table [3] fully extended which measures 130cm (4.3 ft) L x 80cm (2.6 ft) D as my working surface. It is barely holding all the input control surfaces which I use. The Wacom is mostly now resting on my arm rest because this is the only way I can do all of my work.
I would rather not have to have all of input surfaces, too, but they all serve a purpose:
+ Apple Wireless Keyboards. I have two (one not shown) because Apple’s bluetooth pairing won’t allow easy machine toggle and I have two Macs running side by side.
+ Apple Wired keyboard. I need this so I can use InDesign keyboard shortcuts for Paragraph and Character styles.
+ Apple Trackpad. Sometimes when I have all these wireless devices running (especially if the Eye-fi is running) the Bluetooth Mouse is very unresponsive and have lags so I use the trackpad.
+ Apple Magic Mouse. I need this because it is the fastest.
+ Novation Remote SL 25. My trusty MIDI input surface. The best velocity-sensitive synth-action keyboards I have played on. Highly recommended.
+ Wacom Intuous Touch 5 Medium. I used to have the Wireless version but Mac does not pair with it very well, which is very annoying. So I upgraded to the Intuous Touch 5 which supports multi-touch and comes with a wire.
Aside from Photoshop work and sometimes Illustrator work for drawing type, I also use the Wacom for writing Chinese characters. Apple’s native handwriting recognition would only do it with the Trackpad. The Inking app does not support Chinese. So I use VisionObjects’ MyScript Stylus [4] which supports multiple international languages including all the the CJK languages, latin languages as well as Arabic. It is the best handwriting app available on the OSX that I have tried. Recommended.
So you see, what I really need is a larger desk and a larger space. Which for now I cannot really afford because Hong Kong properties are ridiculously high now. And I am in no hurry to go enslave myself under some gigantic agencies any time soon.

Since Apple released the magic track-pad and some analysts are referencing the "Mouse-less" future I thought I better grab one of these while I still could. Don't get me wrong, I love my MacBook's track-pad for everything excepting editing photos. I need a pointer for that. I've never tried a Wacom Tablet so I do know if I'd like one. I don't do a lot of Photoshop only editing; I typically multi-task while I edit photos.
Strobist info: 2 SB-800's fired via the SU-800. 1 SB-800 above camera left fired through a Lumi-quest Softbox III and the second SB-800 fired towards the front of the mouse position camera right on table fired through SP barn doors. Edited in Lightroom 3 using built in Developer present Creative split tone 4.

Voici mon entrée dans le premier Apple Store de France.
J'etais avec mon Nikon dans la main droite et mon iPhone dans la main gauche :P pour immortaliser ce moment :P
Après environ 3h de queue (je suis un chanceux par rapport a certains :P).
After installing a few OS updates, her new 21.5 is ready to roll. 3.06GHz, 4GB Ram, 500GB HD, extended wired keyboard: Oh yeah!
I beg to ask one question: how do some people always manage to keep their desks that free from stuff?
Apple has a hobby of multitouch. The Magic Mouse is the first mouse device equipped with the latest multitouch technology.
My 15" MacBook Pro, Dell 2408WFP UltraSharp monitor, Apple Magic Mouse, and Matias TactilePro keyboard. That's a 1.5 TB Western Digital (Time Machine) backup drive toward the rear...and the white of my Apple Airport Extreme base station is just barely visible behind the monitor.
It's the perfect set-up for me.
