It finally came! I love it, and highly recommend it.
I haven't done a Photo of the Day in a while, and will continue back up as soon as I get more time.
I cut the 1.20 x 0.60 VIKA AMON to 1.10 x 0.60 to fit the wall space, and have no regrets over that decision. I don't miss any of the area suntracted after cutting the desk, since I am using the extra shelf as a monitor stand and can hide the keyboard under it.

I thought my temporary workspace looked really nice as the spring sun was shining through the window, so I decided to snap a pic :)
BSSR House, 2011. Huib van Wijk, architect.
Minimalism has grown a lot over the past few years. The natural light and the empty space seem to communicate more than the space that is filled up with something.
People say that you have clearer thought patterns when there is less around you. Others say you just need a clean, minimal workspace. Well it comes down to personal preference and what type of person you are in the end. Some people like to have a messy work area and others totally hate it when there is anything out of place.
iMac 21,5 inch, wireless keyboard & Magic Mouse by Apple.
I haven't used my 30in Cinema Display in about a year, since it uses a DVI connection and the MacBook Pro has a Thunderbolt port.
Then yesterday, Meagan bought me the adapter so I could use the old beast once again.
I had to completely reroute all of the wires inside the desk, but I'm happy with how it all turned out. The best part: the only cable decending from the desk is a sinlge power cable. Hooray.
Suddenly, everything clicks. And swipes. And scrolls. And the incredibly thin Apple Wireless Keyboard sits on your desk surrounded by nothing but glorious space.

Finally upgraded to the Bose Computer MusicMonitor speakers, much less intrusive than the Creative ones, and they sound awesome!
Me: Cinko what have you done to Babo?
Cinko: I's dunno's! I's just clickered this mouser and Babo felled overs!! I thinkers he's crashed!
I grew tired of my normal work-with-computer room, so I grabbed my Macbook Pro and Magic Mouse, and moved to another desk. More space, more air and more sun. I'm really fond of the blue tint of the wall.
My desk setup. Clean and simple.
A lot and not much has changed since I last took a picture of my setup:

A slightly better shot of my desk.
That's the 08 unibody Macbook. Slightly disappointed that I didn't wait and get one of the new Pro models instead.
I like to hand write, so having a large desk that has enough space for my laptop and a notebook is a necessity. I can have everything I need out without it feeling cramped.

While I was swiping images taken in during the "close-door" TCWPhotography's Studio before Lunar festive season commenced. Find this particular shot drawing my attention, so zoomed in just and look at their lovely expression. I suddenly find it this could be a very good wallpaper too (in my humble opinion), so leaving this cropped version on my wireless white doughnut charger.
From the angle I looked at it, I find it very interesting perspective, so decided to take up my iPhone 6s and shot, so this shot considerably taken unprepared and unintentionally. After 2 shots attempted, I find the first shot somehow got its potential to process further. I then started to do processing on my iPhone X, the result was good but the "wallpaper" on the phone horrible distorted.
Because it was taken from the iPhone 6s, AirDrop over to iPhone X to process further with the limited editing tools could jeopardize the image quality, I am talking about the little tiny things here. I then decided to AirDrop over to my MacBook Pro, utilizing the full features of Lightroom and Photoshop to salvage the shot.
By using the original couple image (from iPhone X, which already got AirDrop into MacBook Pro) select the crop section which is the same length and height as per the "wallpaper", then bring it over to the Photoshop over and started to erase those unwanted borders and I am quite satisfied when zoomed in the end result of the couple image would be as clear as possible.
The entire process consumes a few hours from taking random test shot until the final product. Keep doing trial and error to get the final result that I wanted, I always having this issue, once started the task I will only stop when the result meets my expectation. Luckily it is only 1 image, else not sure I have the patience to do mass production like this fashion.

It is super rare to see the professional photographer himself taking his own portraits not to mention their couple shots, I truly honour and given the opportunity to do the courtesy. In the meantime let them experience how the usual couple facing in front of cameras, lenses, not forget the postures, facial expression and etc before pressing the shuttle. It was a wonderful experience for all of us, am always grateful and treasure to have such a friendship. If there is a chance in the future, probably we can try something spontaneous photography again.
Note: This shot was taken by iPhone 6s, when I first show wifey she told me this shot looks so instagramable... So I've decided published it on my flickr for the first time. The only thing I regret is I should have shoot this via DSLR instead of smartphone.

You must see this on large View On White and View On Black
#188 Spontaneous idea yesterday evening. I wanted the magic mouse reflect the screen showing the Flickr-frontpage picture with the bathing people (my favorite) and the Aperture symbol about to be clicked. It took a while to process it thru Gimp and Aperture the way I wanted it to be.. ;)
