I visited Disneyland, Anaheim today (Sunday June 22, 2014). Here's a photo of some items that I bought today. I lucked out and got the last Elsa and Anna shoe ornaments in stock at the World of Disney. I also got a Mulan shoe to take advantage of the 3 for $49.95 special. Also a brand new key chain featuring the Evil Queen and her Magic Mirror. On one side is the Evil Queen holding the Heart Box, and on the reverse side is a real mirror. It is pretty large, a flat oval shape that measures 3'' H x 2.5'' W. I also got three ornaments that I've been eyeing for awhile: The 3D Evil Queen, 3D Beauty and the Beast, and 3D Snow White. I believe the first two are new releases for this year. I also got a couple of older Maleficent pins.

Cinzia finally got some photos done... Although it was already evening so the lighting is not so great, had to improvise with a torch! Honestly the best doll to pose ever :)

Magic Mirror Levon in Graphite

Some of my purchases in Disneyland, on Sunday April 6, 2014.

Olszewski Gallery of Light Collection: Evil Queen at the Mirror. This miniature diorama shows the Evil Queen from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs facing the Magic Mirror. There are the twelve signs of the Zodiac surrounding the Mirror. The Face in the Magic Mirror is lit by LEDs in an alternating series of differently colored lights, including blue, green and red. Price: $95.

I visited Disneyland on April 6, 2014. It was warm (mid 70s) with a light crowd.

The water fountain in Downtown Disney, in front of Brea Bakery, was working again after several months. It has spectacular repeating display of water jets and flows that cycles every minute or so. It shoots up water like a geyser possibly a hundred feet in the air that lasts several seconds, then smaller jets in a circular pattern form around the taller central jet that gradually subsides.

The World of Disney had the newly released Disney Parks Princess mini dolls, in two sets of four dolls each. The first set had Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora and Belle. The second set had Ariel (in green Park dress), Jasmine, Rapunzel and Merida (in dark teal Adventure dress). They were still selling the old style first set (which also had Tiana), and the new first set were not much different than the old one (first released in 2011). But the second set had a brand new Ariel and Merida dolls, so I was much more interested in that set. Nevertheless, I bought both sets, at $29.95 each. I also got a newly released Nightmare Before Christmas playing card set (in a coffin shaped package), a folding NBX umbrella, and a Minnie Ink and Paint LE Pin from World of Disney.

In the Disneyana shop on Main Street I got a Gallery of Light diorama of the Wicked Queen facing the Magic Mirror. I got a good score in Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters, but the score wasn't saved by the system, and the Top Ten leader board was down. Finally I got an Olaf candy apple from the Main Street Candy Palace.

It was a very good shopping day at Disneyland.

Today's my birthday! 23 years old ahh.

Anyway I new right away I wanted to use the cool mirror I have in my room (my room is medieval themed) for this shoot. The concept is "When Snow White's daughter found the magic mirror". Used some green smoke balls I got a while ago. Let me know what you think.

In techniques for rod-puppets, Richard Teschner, one of the most notable representatives of Viennese art nouveau, set new standards. Teschner was a man of exceptionally diverse gifts: he was a painter, graphic designer, sculptor, puppeteer and much more. With his revolutionary theatre of figures, he created an integrated theatrical work of art encompassing everything from puppets to plays, stagecraft and incidental music. Using the Javanese rod-puppets as his model, he developed a new, expressive puppet variety for his pantomimic plays. Overcoming the traditional proscenium stage led to the unique round of the Magic Mirror, which gave rise to images of great beauty and suggestive effect.

Burlesque Star, a Burlesque Musical at Magic Mirrors in Parc Royal - Brussels, 14 August 2011

I have decided to name her Nanyalin. I guess I am a simple person when it comes to name. As she was an unplanned impulse arrival (the best sort of arrival) she did not have a name so I kept calling her "Nanyalin's fairy doll", that was shortened to "Nanyalin's fairy", then to just "Nanyalin's" and at some point I realized was just calling her "Nanyalin", and decided to go with it LOL!

He decidido llamarla Nanyalin.

SAURON - "ABSOLUTELY LOATHE WHAT YOU'VE DONE WITH YOUR MAGIC MIRROR, BAD GALADRIEL!"

BAD GALADRIEL - "Crikey, go on with you 'Ron!"

SAURON - "NO, REALLY! I ESPECIALLY APPRECIATE THE WAY IT REPRESENTS THE DESPAIR OF AN ENTIRE COUNTRY WHEN IT SEES ITS RESERVES OF ARABLE TOPSOIL BEING BLOWN AWAY ON THE HELLISH WINDS..."

BAD GALADRIEL - "Well, right-o, ta very much Matey! Now that I reflect on it - you see what I did there? - I suppose it's not every day you gaze upon the future of a nation's agricultural community silting up the bottom of your Nazgul's Fellbeast bath, y'know?"

As if the catastrophic mega-bushfires and shatteringly heavy hailstorms of the Climate Change supercharged Australian 'Black Summer' were not enough, on Wednesday, 22nd January, 2020, Melbourne copped a dirty deluge fair in the face! A dust storm got scooped up by a cold front moving across South Australia and Victoria and rained down in all its manky glory....

Well, they say that Melbourne does beaut coffee, but this is like having a slab of the Yarra River in the front yard!

The bird bath reminded me of Galadriel's magic mirror in The Lord Of The RIngs, and from there it was a Hobbit's Step away from dragging out my Sauron and Bad Galadriel action figures, which are entirely appropriate for the Mordor-like weather we've been having in Black Summer.

Gallows humour, I know, but if you don't laugh, you cry!

A Mirror Image (in a plane mirror) is a reflected duplication of an object that appears almost identical, but is reversed in the direction perpendicular to the mirror surface. As an optical effect it results from reflection off from substances such as a mirror or water. It is also a concept in geometry and can be used as a conceptualization process for 3-D structures. Two-dimensional mirror images can be seen in the reflections of mirrors or other reflecting surfaces, or on a printed surface seen inside-out.

If we first look at an object that is effectively two-dimensional (such as the writing on a card) and then turn the card to face a mirror, the object turns through an angle of 180° and we see a left-right reversal in the mirror. In this example, it is the change in orientation rather than the mirror itself that causes the observed reversal. Another example is when we stand with our backs to the mirror and face an object that's in front of the mirror. Then we compare the object with its reflection by turning ourselves 180°, towards the mirror. Again we perceive a left-right reversal due to a change in our orientation. So, in these examples the mirror does not actually cause the observed reversals.

The palace was constructed on a monumental scale that was intended to reflect the might and power of Imperial Russia. From the palace, the Tsar ruled over 22,400,000 square kilometers (8,600,000 sq mi) (almost 1/6 of the Earth's landmass) and over 125 million subjects by the end of the 19th century. It was designed by many architects, most notably Bartolomeo Rastrelli, in what came to be known as the Elizabethan Baroque style. The green-and-white palace has the shape of an elongated rectangle, and its principal façade is 215 metres (705 ft) long and 30 m (98 ft) high. The Winter Palace has been calculated to contain 1,886 doors, 1,945 windows, 1,500 rooms and 117 staircases. Following a serious fire, the palace's rebuilding of 1837 left the exterior unchanged, but large parts of the interior were redesigned in a variety of tastes and styles, leading the palace to be described as a "19th-century palace inspired by a model in Rococo style".

The State Hermitage Museum is a museum of art and culture in Saint Petersburg. The second-largest art museum in the world, it was founded in 1764 when Empress Catherine the Great acquired an impressive collection of paintings from the Berlin merchant Johann Ernst Gotzkowsky. The museum celebrates the anniversary of its founding each year on 7 December, Saint Catherine's Day. It has been open to the public since 1852. It attracted 4,956,524 visitors in 2019, ranking it eighth among the most visited art museums in the world. Of the six buildings in the main museum complex, five—namely the Winter Palace, Small Hermitage, Old Hermitage, New Hermitage, and Hermitage Theatre—are open to the public. The entrance ticket for foreign tourists costs more than the fee paid by citizens of Russia and Belarus. However, entrance is free of charge the third Thursday of every month for all visitors, and free daily for students and children. The museum is closed on Mondays. The entrance for individual visitors is located in the Winter Palace, accessible from the Courtyard.

Television stations produced their own localized versions of the Romper Room children's TV show beginning in the 1950s. This form letter from "Miss Marcia" probably came from Marcia Kaplan, who was the hostess of the show that aired on WHTM-TV in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

See other examples of this form letter signed by Miss Nancy and Miss Sallly. For a photo of an unidentified hostess, see Romper Room, WGAL-TV, Lancaster, Pa., ca. 1950s.

Dear Mitchell,

Thank you very much for the nice letter you wrote me. I am so glad you are one of my good friends and that you have so much fun with us each day in the Romper Room School. I've seen you in my Magic Mirror and I know you are a good "Do-Bee." I'll see you tomorrow in the Romper Room School.

Your friend,

Miss Marcia

I shall call on you for an interview for Romper Room.
