At least that's the common wisdom. I'm not really sure. The evening was too supernatural to be sure. They teased me with the notion.

It was so windy out here this morning that I didn't think it was possible to pull off a single photograph (and the ticks didn't make things easy either!). I had to boost my iso up to 400. Rarely will I shoot faster than 100, but I had no choice. When shooting in these condition, you just have to keep pulling the trigger and hope you get a slight break in the gust. I actually like the mix of some moving flowers and some still ones in this scene, it adds to the feeling of motion. All in all not a very good year for wildflowers in the gorge.

Nyhavn 17 is probably the most famous house in Nyhavn, Copenhagen. It is very easy to spot, in particular at night because of the the neon lights.

Turned golden by the setting sun and on the summit of Montmartre north of Paris in the 18th arrondissement, a part of the Right Bank, stands the white-domed Basilica of the Sacré Cœur.
This renowned Parisian landmark was built on Montmartre from 1876 to 1912. Sacré-Cœur is made of travertine stone quarried in Château-Landon (Seine-et-Marne), France. This stone constantly exudes calcite, which ensures that the basilica remains white even with weathering and pollution.
