The All-Knowing Oracle, the Magic 8 Ball , will answer all your "yes or no" questions quickly .

The ceremony suddenly became very awkward.

Monthly Scavenger Hunt - May 2012 - #16 - Things you don't see at a wedding

We had an interesting tweet-based discussion about Magic 8-Balls yesterday, and how they work. Despite Mattel's explanation that they just house "a cylindrical reservoir containing a white, plastic, icosahedral die floating in alcohol with dissolved dark blue dye", the common consensus that we came to was that they probably are still magic - and more likely than not contain agrophobic faeries, who answer all of the questions. :)

(In fact I asked my Magic 8-Ball if this were true and it replied: "Yes, Definitely". So there you go.)

I guess the outlook is not so good. . . .

Today's theme in We're Here! is a load of balls.

No, really... BALLS!

Yeah, it's one of those magic 8-ball...and it gives you the right answer, I swear! or at least, it gives you the answer you'd like to have...

Thanks to my wonderful friend who gave it to me.

Now just what did that Magic 8 Ball reply?

Magic 8 Ball, aka 'executive decision maker'

Odie got a Magic 8-Ball for her birthday, which was soon put to use as an oracle.

So this is a bit random, yes I know. I was going through some really old pictures and saw this one and decided to process it and see how it would turn out. I took this about 2 years ago when I was learning my camera and learning what setting give me the best DOF.

So last night I got my computer to free up some space by doing the system cleaner and defrag stuff. I deleted a few old programs and such. So I got my CS4 working again Yippy! But on the down side, my volume/sound program that was with my computer is missing. So I can't listen to anything but silence. I don't know how to get my sound back. :( I am so annoyed with this stupid computer. I want a new one so bad! But of course I can't afford it.

I feel like I should be bursting with creativity right now, but I'm too stressed out or annoyed to really do anything about it.

I plan on starting to dance again. At night when everyone has gone to bed, I want to stay down here and dance like I used to. I want to be good at it again. I want to be able to forget about the world and let the music move me. Dancing was my outlet. I just get discouraged now.

I love photography so much, but it doesn't offer the freedom or the emotions I get while I dance. But how do I dance when I can't hear my music to dance to?

I've also thought about doing laps in the pool once Leilani goes to bed. Problem with that is that she wakes up randomly at night for one reason or another and if I'm out in the pool how do I know when she needs me?

Oh what I life I have. Things will get better, I know, but it's hard right now.

Sorry about the venting. I had to get it off my chest. But at least I did it on a picture no one will care about so not many have to suffer through it.

Fresh sweet pea blooms and a purple spider... what more could one desire?!

Beware, if you leave your handbag open.... you might encourage hitchhikers!

“What is Creative Mondays?

Monday’s are always a drag. The start of a new week, you have to go back to that routine of going to bed early/get up early. If (like me) you have to commute then you prepare for that long journey into work and that long journey back for the first time after a nice two day break.

So to kick off those lousy Mondays, I’m going to get my creative mind flowing in a positive way. Creative Mondays. A chance for me to show off something unfinished or finished that I’ve been working on throughout the previous week.”

So it seems it’s another one of those random ideas weeks. I couldn’t get an image of an 8 ball out of my head (probably due to playing so much pool at work) and put this bad boy together. I played around with a few simple 3D editing settings in Photoshop to create the ball and a sweet lightning brush to add that extra bit of magic.

i asked the magic 8 ball in our new york office if i was ever going to get a raise. it's fuzzy reply sadly confirmed what i expected

Was once a fence and a light fixture …. now its a spider. 18" leg span 6" diameter abdomen.

Well, the Magic 8-Ball says "signs point to yes"... so... YES!

I decided to stay away from the obvious holiday lights bokeh for today's theme in We're Here!, which is "A Weekend of Bokeh".

Fun fact about these toys... they tend to lose their water volume after so many years... so, yeah.

I got this little mini-Magic 8 Ball at a trade show. It's not actually an 8 ball, but a Magic [Insert Company's Name Here] Ball. But it functions the same. I have a superstition ever since I got it and put it on my desk that each morning I ask it if it's going to be a good day. This was its answer today.

The pile of garbage with the Magic 8 ball, left by floodwater as it soaked in. I think we really needed the rain.

When it was flooded here.

You can see the garbage at the edge of the water in the other pic.

Another shitty fortune. I need to stop consulting garbage.

I asked my daughter's Magic 8 Ball if I would actually finish 2012 in photos. It's looking good! :) (She asks that you please excuse her dirty fingernails... she's been working today. LOL)

I didn't specifically ask magic 8 a question as a I shook it, but it knows...it sensed that the question that I had considered asking but thought better of it because I wanted to see the drama of the nomination to the court of Judge Roberts unfold fresh before my eyes, to hold out some hope. but, it knows. and though i consider this to bad news, i can't fault magic 8. he's only the messenger.

does anyone have any blue food color? magic 8 seems to have sprung a leak after i flung magic 8 on the floor a few moments ago after this answer popped up.

I got the Magic 8-Ball when I started working at Adaptec's branch office in Hudson, Wisconsin in 2003. The job only lasted three months before the site was shut down.

Mario wanted to know if he is going to get lucky with the princess. I guess he isn't.
