Seven Magic Mountains

Seven Magic Mountains is an art installation in the Nevada desert created by Swiss artist Ugo Rondinone.

It is located off Interstate 15 about ten miles south of Las Vegas.

There are seven columns of boulders in all, most of which are painted in bright day-glo colours.

Heat Absorption

They actually give an interesting lesson in heat absorption - the photograph was taken on a sunny winter afternoon, and the silvery-white rock on the right was cool to the touch, whereas the black rock on the far left was warm to the touch.

Magic and spices help me look as good as I do.

When I was little my mother told me I should never ever touch a butterflies wings cause I would take all it's magic dust and it would never be able to fly again...I still believe her! :)
