Wohl bin ich ein Wald und eine Nacht dunkler Bäume: doch wer sich vor meinem Dunkel nicht scheut, der findet auch Rosenhänge unter meine Zypressen.

Just your words, thank you 😀
Amaryllis flower blooming. A spectacular flower in amazing colors, with large petals, always wonderful to have.
Wherever I went, clouds, rain and mist were always over my head. :-)
Xitou Nature Education Area or Xitou Bamboo Forestis a forest park in Lugu Village, Lugu Township, Nantou County, Taiwan.
Xitou is derived from a Chinese word with the meaning of the origin of river.
During the Japanese rule of Taiwan, the forest was used as an experimental forest for University of Tokyo students. Later after the handover of Taiwan from Japan to the Republic of China in 1945, the forest was declared a nature reserve and named Xitou Nature Education Area in 1970. On 11 September 2016, a 2,800-year old giant tree fell after long heavy rain, injuring three visitors.
Have a nice weekend my friends. :-)

“You are magic. And not everyone can handle magic. Some people are so accustomed to mediocre that they run from magic. Let them run. Let them have their blah, their boring, their beige, their basic. You just keep standing all tall and strong and sparkly in your magic, and let the ones who can't handle you pass you right by.”

This was a magic crystal ball that my friends gave me a long time ago, who said I guessed the future, ... it doesn't work !!!
We are staying at home because of coronavirus pandemie, and we have many interesting things to do like for example watching herself on the fridge :)
Thanks to my friend Liz for introducing me to ball photography. I love the clarity of the reflection.
I was making the long trek back to my car after a disappointing photo shoot at dusk... seeking to photograph some elusive deer in the nature park, but they kept themselves nicely hidden in the forest. Darkness fell quickly.
Then I came across this beautiful fountain lit with the most glorious light. I had seen this fountain during the day, but didn't realize how stunning it looked at night. I had to stop and take some shots... both short and long exposure. I was hoping to catch some water droplets at short exposure, but it wasn't until I got at home that I realized how artistic the extended-exposure shots were.
This is an example of the age-old adage:
If your planned shot isn't happening, move around; if you keep your eyes open, photo ops are all around us.
