..... who in the hell the drunk is who decided to name the streets in this town. The town is laid out in neighborhoods by letter. So, as you can see, I am in the "S" section. Now, who in their infinite wisdom thought it was great to name this street Seaman Trail? I mean what about Seaman Street, Boulevard, or Court. Although, I guess Seaman Way would have been another great one...
Holy crap, am I slow or what! Can you imagine if this were where Seaman Trail met up with Sesame Street?! That would just be too much! :o)~
Doing a bit o' cheating to try and catch up on one or two shots missed during the move.

as I was dealing with the "my daughter and her best friend cut her hair into a mullet" portion of my day, my little guy got the Hershey's out and had a little taste. He looked so cute chugging chocolate syrup down!! More to come with the hair fiasco, when I can bring myself to photograph the damage.

Girl, you do not know how welcome this was, it would have been welcome on any given day, but today, after the most horrible day in the WORLD, this made my day. It made me cry, in a good way, and just seriously made my day.

March 5: Just a photo of a page from a bird book today. I'm feeling a little blue and decided to go sit outside and soak up some sun. And I heard this chittery bird call, all chatter chatter chatter. Looked up at the telephone line across the street, and what did I see but a belted kingfisher! I've never seen one here. Yes, there's a little stream across the way, but I just don't think of it as a prime hunting spot for kingfishers. (No fish in it, for one thing.) But here he was. Now, the kingfisher is probably my favorite bird of all. So to have him drop by and chat at me felt so nice. Especially today. Maybe he knew I needed a pick-me-up. He didn't stay long, but soon was wafting down the creek. Still. Made my day.
I heard once that the Chinese say it's good luck to see a kingfisher, and I've always liked that idea, whether it's true or not. A heraldry site says the kingfisher "is the promise of abundance, of new warmth, prosperity and love that is about to unfold within your life." I'll take that too.
Back in November 2009 I sent this Scratch Ticket (left) to the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) I explained in a letter how I accidentally ripped the ticket and couldn't scan it to claim the prize at my local convenience store because of the tape repair. I needed the OLG to authorize the ticket for the money.
Today (7 months later) I received a check from them for $3 which is the prize for scratching 2 words (EWE and VIA) on the Crossword Ticket.
Perseverance pays off.
It's funny how small things can make your day.
Here's the beginning of our story..........
Bridgette is a chicken. A very nice chicken. Much to my delight I was able to hold her in my lap. Sadly it is her chicken butt that showed up in this picture. You try taking a picture of your self with a chicken in your lap!

I thought this was kinda funny. Mainly because these things (read: this shit) never affects me any longer since I always walk instead of using public transportation. Since they... well, suck and all that. (Their name is Västtrafik, which would be west traffic, I refer to them as Pesttrafik, which would be pest traffic. And I do that because... Well, they suck and all that.)
Saw a lot of people on my way into town standing and waiting for the bus. And I walked by with a smart-ass smirk on my face, totally unaffected!
