G-MACY Boeing 767-204 BDSF Maersk Air Cargo UK (Star Air livery) @ Belfast International Airport 14/05/2026
In these old photos of New York I use different types of filters. In this one I use the Red filter to give more drama to the monochrome.
The Red filter is essential to mark more details, apart is used a lot in monochrome street photographs, in the case of New York, there are gray days but with much glow, as here on that day or as almost always in times In winter, the filter solved the problem.
Found this cute little dress by Xscape at Macys recently. I can't wait to wear it to a party again. Got great reviews the night I took this photo!
German sculptor August Gaul’s 2,500-pound bronze bird came to America for the Louisiana Purchase Exposition in 1904. When John Wanamaker purchased it for his famous department store, he had to strengthen the floor with extra girders. There are 1,600 sculpted feathers on the head alone, and 5,000 on the entire Eagle. This famous bird began the long-beloved Philadelphia tradition of a Center City rendezvous initiated by the saying “Meet me at the Eagle.” Through later sales Wanamakers eventually was purchased by Macy's

A photo that somehow didn't make it up to my page during my batch upload on Christmas Day. This is probably one of my better shots of Macy--she HATES the camera.
LOOK at that BLUE eye!!!
Here's the lovely Macy again, she is such a stunner to work with!

RedBubble (Order My Work)
This exposure meter (resting on its rather well-worn leather pouch) belonged to my father and from the paperwork with it, he bought it in South Africa. This must have been when he was training as a pilot in WW2. The puzzle for me is the name "Macy's" on it. Since it is inscribed as being "Made in USA", I assume this must be the well-known store - but did they sell their own-branded photographic gear? I can find nothing on t'interweb to confirm this so, for now at least, it remains one of life's little mysteries!

Macy still hasn't realized that it's attached to her and that she controls its movement... If tail chasing was an olympic event though.. she would take the gold!!
Macy’s Razorback
Warhammer and Nexo Knights seem like a perfect match to me. I don’t play the table top games but I really like the vehicle designs and imagery.
Pointers from Jerac (www.flickr.com/photos/jerac/5164163208) and Slnine (flic.kr/p/q6dhmy) are clearly evident in this one, specifically the scale and design of the tracks.
I tried to come up with my own solutions to achieving the angles and offsets, and I hope it compliments their incredible creations.
