Macrovision..... not happy :( Macrovision is the company reponsible for DVD region locking, meaning if you buy a DVD that is released in zone 2 (UK) you cant play it on any DVD hardware that has macrovision encoding. Fortuneatly lots of DVD players ignore this.

Do we need or want this region locking for software?

Must check out the linux shell installer (find link) that (find name) linux game developers licensed to opensource.
