There was so many butterfly fluttering about, it was hard to get a shot of one. I just kept on waiting for my moment and one just happened to land close by and stayed there long enough for me to capture it.
this is a close up of the fly who was busy eating and watching the fun of the raynox combo dropping in front of his eyes two times.luckily it didnt break.
you have to work in stealth to shoot insects while using the raynox combo.it has a razor edge DOF,so the focus point is like a thin line.patience is top requirement here.
so you can see that my focus has gone to the fly's left eye.difficulty was there.
A spring break is due and I'll be off for nearly one and a half weeks.
Hope you'll all be doing well in the meantime!
As usual - thanks for stopping by, taking the time to view and possibly commenting/faving or inviting.
This is a macroshot of an orchide bud with direct sunlight. It was actually pretty hard to get what my eye saw trough the lens "on the paper". 90 % of all the shots got burned out because of the strong sunlight. So i had to struggle with manual white balance and had to use spot metering and also had to make it under exposured. And finally i started to get closer to what i wanted..
Then again when i looked at the colored verison i felt it was cinda boring though, but in B&W i think it came out pretty nice

Today I found a little treasure, so small and yet so sweet.
I remember how this pot was built with loving hands.
A gift from my loved one and yes surely please...
Oh the sweet memories of a time so sweet.
Thank you my Michelle for this loving gift to me.
I do not recall how old my first born was, but I do remember receiving this treasure. She grew up to be a proud wonderful woman. Now a successful High School Art Teacher with 3 young ones aged 12, 8 & 2.
Time has gone far too quickly.
And before you ask....no I do not do any pottery. Just love it and thanks to my girlfriend, I have an abundance of them in my home.
I took these around in my neighbour's garden the other day. I just love the colour of this Cosmos, but find it difficult to get the colour just right. These are SOOC just resized in Photoshop. They are not crops and were taken with my 75-300 mm lens and the 36 mm Kenko macro extension tube.
