I haven't felt like posting recently, 2023 so far has been an incredibly challenging year. We recently had to cancel our much needed rescheduled holiday to Cornwall, Danny's Uncle, who he much loved, sadly passed away from covid. His funeral falls when we should be on our holiday, and Danny wanted to pay his respects. He wanted us to still travel to Cornwall and him then drive to Middlesbrough for the funeral and then return, but it would be too much as it would be about a 900 mile round trip and costly in fuel. So, obviously we're disappointed as we all needed a break, but, at least Danny gets to say goodbye to his favourite Uncle.
We are now looking for a week in Whitby after the funeral. Maybe Cornwall in the summer?
On the bright side, we had a beautiful warm day yesterday, so I sat in the garden watching washing dry.😁It was lovely to feel some sunshine.☀️ Have a great week, dear friends. ❤️
When we returned from our holiday, we were delighted to discover that our sunflowers had finally bloomed, they were planted ages ago. Our next door neighbour kindly watered our garden every day while we were away. One of them is even taller than me, but then again that’s not saying much 😂😂. Decided today to do some macro while the sun was out in the hope of capturing a bumble bee or a butterfly in one of the flowers. Well I managed a hover fly. Oh well. 😂 I’m taking the weekend off now, having some family time. Have a sunny delightful weekend, my friends 🌻🌞❤️

Stayed in yesterday trying to get sorted for our hols. Weather seemed quite nice and there was some lovely light in the garden, so took a break and had a mini shoot. Today is miserable, grim and very wet. Typical British weather then! Must remember to take the brollies to Whitby 😂😍
Hope some of you are enjoying some sunny weather, lots of love ❤️
Potting in the garden this morning, the dandelions looked so beautiful after the rain, the macro suddenly fell into my hands. 😂
