Now then, I have not done anything to change the colours on this, it is how it came out with the flash on it, The Meadow Brown is quite common, it doesn`t open its wings that often, but when it does this plain Brown insect is transformed, with the light in the right place, not as sharp as it could be I know

At only $25, the Xuan 30mm f/10 Body Cap Lens is one of the cheapest lenses out there, but is it any good? We review this lens here: youtu.be/btX24nM2m-s

Found this little beauty and got in close using my Sony SLT-A33, Minolta AF 50mm and a short stack of extension tubes.

Pronounced ran-UN-kew-lus. The Latin name ranunculus means "little frog". The flower originates from the Middle East. They belong to the Buttercup family (Ranunculaceae)

The structure is very complex, the petals are so tightly packed, it causes a ruffle' effect. The buds are also pale in colour compared to when in full bloom, when they turn vibrant red.

Taken using macro extension tube adapter no. 3 (30mm) and standard 18-55mm lens. Lit with a desk lamp.

Macro is a great way to see detail beyond what you normally take in with your naked eye, like the beautiful detail on this ring captured with the help of a Fotodiox Macro Extension tube. Practically any lens can be a macro - you just need to move the lens further away from your camera's sensor with an extension tube, and Fotodiox has inexpensive macro extension tube kits for all sort of cameras and lenses.

It's hand held by the way :-)
