"A grasshopper captured with its perfect reflection on a smooth surface. The minimalist background and side light highlight every detail of its body, turning this tiny insect into a macro art subject."

Hello, everyone :)

This is an older picture. After taking a shower I noticed how beautiful the droplets were looking on the wall in backlight. I got my camera quickly and took a few pictures of them.

Have a nice weekend!

Reminds me of the fan you would see in a department store with plastic streamers attached to the grate.

Light glides across the ribs of a palm frond, revealing nature’s abstract design in bold green geometry. A macro perspective turns this common leaf into something almost architectural.

This is a drop of milk/water on top of a bubble which is resting in a pan of water. There is a bit of glycerine in the soap bubble mixture to give it more elasticity. I used to make this mixture for the kids years ago. Thread some yarn or string through a couple of straws to make a rectangle. Dip this into the soap bubble mixture in a large baking tray and run across the yard. Makes the biggest, most amazing bubbles ever!

I have two Speedlites on this. One on the bubble and one directed toward a white paper background to reflect on the water.

Desmodium in its subtle, seed-studded glory. The whimsical nickname “Fruity Pebbles” seemed to fit these little botanical gems clinging to a curved stem.

This is a very close up shot of a carnation. The flower itself had much more saturation in it's actual color. I washed it out using a few high temperature lights and overexposed it a bit. My goal was to wash it out a bit and still retain detail and depth. Result is pretty cool.

No Photoshop used here. Only used the RAW editor to enhance the exposure.

Just having some fun on a cold day. Dropping some M & M's into Almond Milk.

I. Love. This. Picture :D

It's very simple and not as colorful as my regular uploads, but I love both kinds of photography: On the one hand there are explosive colors and complex color gradients and on the other hand there are minimalistic shots.
