Ever have one of those days where you have a picture in mind and the fates seem to conspire against it? That kept happening to me today when I was trying to shoot a macro of the invitation a friend sent me to their wedding. I took it outside to shoot in daylight and the wind kept blowing it over. I took it inside and couldn't get the lighting the way I wanted it. Ah well. Got some cool photos today regardless. Probably should have taken my friend up on her offer to bring in a full daylight quality lamp.

So I decided to take today's self portrait while holding my lensbaby 2.0's 4x macro filter using a small amount of daylight coming in through a window. Taken with Nikon D40x, Lensbaby 2.0 and 4.0 Aperture disk

Playing with macro lenses inspired this photograph. This shot plays heavily on the depth of field that macro lenses brings to a photograph. It plays on the cliche of finding love or of being in love; when you're in love, everything is blurry in comparison to your loved one.
