A macro vision of the end of an ice-encrusted twig - adjusted to bring out the yellows and oranges.

This is the second macro image I took with my new Raynox 250 adapter and the Olympus 40-150mm lens.

I felt overdue for some colour in my photos, so used a snow day to practice flower photography. I used Live View to manually focus on specific parts of the flowers and spent a lot of time experimenting with where best to place the focus (e.g. petals or center of flowers). It was good practice and I learned a lot about the advantages of manual focusing.

Had a great weekend on Island Of Mull West Coast of Scotland with Loch Visions Philip Price ,

Highlights were plenty of deer, 4 otters including what looked like a mating, ,some short eared owls and a Sea Eagle.

Here I attempted a macro of a crab, lying on seaweed with the rain beating down. I think it got the last laugh.
