Macro shot of my new holiday centerpiece.

Bundala National Park, SP, Sri Lanka

Land monitors are big lizards about 1,40m long and they weigh about 10 kg. They feed on small preys such as insects and snails. The Land Monitor became a protected species ever since people started eating its flesh. They're very numerous in Bundala and can be approached well, which allowed me to take this portrait.

Macro shot of an Ant using extension tube with 18-55mm Iens.

There were lots of these Five Spot Burnet moths in the meadow, but breezy conditions precluded a macro shot. As I liked the colours of the grasses so much I tried a wide aperture approach.

Macro shot of the yellow perennial daisy

Shots that got left, I don't for one second expect each to be chosen for a fave star even if you like them. It’s just a shame to leave them behind. The Clover taken in the churchyard at Lelant. The poppy's at the pathway down to the beach at Lelant and forgot where I took the Canola flowers :)

Comments off…Sue :)

I never for a moment expected a shot of mine to be Explored whilst comments are still off due to my recent ill health.

It’s a bonus I never expected and I’m ready to visit my Gp today about my problems that I am coping with much better…thank you everyone for your kindness and patience and friendship which has meant so much - in fact more than you can possibly ever know but thank you all. I do try to get back with a visit to as many people’s photography as I can and have been inspired so much by your wonderful photos. As I love almost all genres bar porn I have never been short of something to take with my camera and would encourage anyone who is not on top form physically to have a go as we are surrounded by so much that can be photographed often close to hand. I wish to thank everyone and hope you all have a wonderful day..Sue..x

Ballaro Market, Palermo, Sicily

My first macro shot turned out awesome. I picked the insect with the least movement so I could practice for a while!

One more macro shot with my new 7artisans 60mm f2.8 manual focus lens. This is one of a tiny little fly sitting on a flower in our garden...

First test at 1:1.

A session on macro photography using the 60mm Olympus Macro Lens

Macro shot of thistle seeds ready to take to the air.

I managed to get this macro picture of a bee as it was about to land on a flower in St James"s Park London to gather pollen. It was taken with a shutter speed of 1/2000 of a second to freeze motion.
