Yesterday afternoon I went to Beth and Scott's house. Scott is a very gifted chef and he was giving me a first lesson in baking homemade bread. After he set aside the dough to rise, I left their house. I was running a little late for a dinner party we had planned earlier. I zoomed down a residential street and spotted this moonflower bush out of the corner of my eye. All of a sudden it didn't matter that I was running late. I slammed on the brakes and shifted into reverse and grabbed my camera. Perhaps it would have been funny to witness all of this happening, you know, if you had just been a neighbor out watering the lawn. A panicked response, girl bursting out of her car, racing over to this big flower bush, and then holding perfectly still to try to catch what's hidden inside the flower. Moonflower stops the traffic!
