The F stop was 2.8 Shutter speed was 5.9. ISO is 200. I slanted the camera towards the main subject more because the black bar was getting in the way. I used Macro Mood so the black bar is blurry and the main subject is in focus. One of the guidelines that I used was the Rule of Thirds. The main subject is right in the middle. An element that I used was texture. I think that, texture is the best for this picture because you can see the scraps on the surface and you can also see the scratches that go in circles to indicate that there has been wood on the surface, and that the surface is not smooth.
day 128 - 08.05.2010 -the other day i was trying to get a hover fly in motion. kinda got it. but saw this bad boi today being still, so as i was in a macro mood, and hungover, i thought id snap it up, nice flower too. and also if you look close, you can see pollen all over the fly :). pollenation in full force.
