More playing about with macro photography. Shot with my sony 30mm lens. Not perfect shots but I'm reasonably happy, and I'm enjoying it.

Never having seen Love-In-a-Mist flowers before, I was startled by my first encounter with this incredibly structured flower.

Nigella damascena, also known as devil in the bush, is a member of the buttercup family Ranunculaceae.

Most of my flower pictures are captured in and around the city of Molde. The second largest city in the county of Møre og Romsdal. It lies along the shores of the Romsdalsfjord in Western Norway.

This charming city has been nicknamed the “City of Roses” since 1913. It boasts incredibly scenic views and surroundings and is filled with beautiful parks and gardens.

"Rosaceae, the rose family, is a medium-sized family of flowering plants, including 4,828 known species in 91 genera. The name is derived from the type genus Rosa "

One the way back from photography today I bought some red roses for the wife - a belated Valentine's gift. I hate paying so much on the day of, so I get them later. Besides a gift to the wife, it's also a chance for me to play with macro flowers ;)

When the weather forecast announces freezing rain, it seems only natural to find sun or sunflowers for a bit of respite.
