A second shot following the previous photo. Slowly but surely!!!

The wavy shapes of the lichen remind me of waves breaking over this small piece of moss.

For this weeks challenge "Monochrome One Color" I was having trouble finding something i liked until I saw the two copper bowls sitting on own counter.

Adults can be observed on plant flowers during the day, where they capture small, soft insects such as aphids, caterpillars, and others, on which they feed, as well as pollen. The larvae remain on the ground where they eat small slugs, snails, and other plant pest larvae. This makes them a useful insect for pest control.

After breeding, the female lays eggs on the ground. These eggs will develop into larvae that will feed, molt, and undergo a complete metamorphosis. The larva will overwinter and resume its activity the following spring, becoming a nymph, then transforming into an adult, which will reproduce and restart the species' life cycle.
