From afar, the University of Washington cherry tree blossoms are so dense and brilliantly colored that it is hard to see what the Yoshino flower truly looks like. Here's a close-up view of the individual flowers.
I just thought I'd post this experiment for anyone who might be interested.
The literature states that this lens will focus down to 3.5 feet. As you can see, I can get quite a bit closer. Also, a true macro capture is 1:1, which means that the object will be captured full size on the sensor. My lens is rated at 1:2, but is actually probably better than that if this trial shot is any indication.
Day 361 of my project 365. This is a macro captured inside of a coil of steel wire. Depth of field is very limited when working in macro, so this shot required f40 to keep things in focus.
Day 345 of my project 365. This macro capture is of the edge of a well-used old machinist’s manual from my father’s machine shop. I used a single speedlight camera right that was triggered with a PocketWizard.
Budapest is the capital and the largest city of Hungary, the largest in East-Central Europe and the seventh largest in the European Union. It is the country's principal political, cultural, commercial, industrial, and transportation centre, sometimes described as the primate city of Hungary.
According to 2011 Census, Budapest had 1.74 million inhabitants, down from its 1989 peak of 2.1 million due to suburbanization. The Budapest Commuter Area is home to 3.3 million peopleThe city covers an area of 525 square kilometres (202.7 sq mi)[9] within the city limits. Budapest became a single city occupying both banks of the river Danube with a unification on 17 November 1873 of west-bank Buda and Óbuda with east-bank Pest.

For this Alligator picture I wanted to do the opposite of the normal I suppose. Some would make an animal look more pretty and beautiful but here I wanted this guy to look just as he did from my eyes. I had to take my photo though the glass which is why he looked so shiny and reflective which looks cool but that's not what an alligator looks like so I guess what I did was make it look as real as I could here like instead of making it all HD and such I made it look like if you were to see it in real life or not through glass I even did research and looked at skin and textures and colors of the same species of gator to be sure I had the tone right so I know this one might look like I switched before and after but I was not going for glam I was going for realism in this photo. It is always good to have a variety.
