One of fifty-one new designs I captured from inside one of my real kaleidoscope. This particular scope uses light from the side which reflects through colored glass into pieces of glass and jewels floating in oil. It also has a black bottom and black sides so the light actually illuminates the inside items like neon.

I am testing my new x4 close-up filter over my 90mm 2.8f lens on this tiny less than 1cm diameter flower. This is not the big dandelion that can be commonly seen.

With this macro capture, I wish all my Flickr Friends a very good weekend!

Location taken : Around my hotel at Kuala Lipis , Pahang , Malaysia.

I love taking photos of rain droplets on little moss plants, or other tiny plants. You never know what the camera will reflect and magnify, and I do enjoy opening the pictures in the computer to see what's there. Often the detail has been so tiny, I've been unable to see it with my eyes.

A flower macro captured in color and convered to high contrast black and white in Charleston, SC.

This is actually the "Red Poinsettia-Looking Center with Red Trim" after using Irfanview color swapping. I liked the look with the two blues and two pinks.

Well actually she is a mother. This is a macro capture of a large snapping turtle as she is laying eggs by a bikepath in Spring Lake Michigan. The sand on her face was from digging a hole to bury the eggs.

Beautiful flower in full bloom. Attempted macro capture indoors in low light.

Just playing around with the manual settings of my camera. I finally found out how to adjust the focus!

PS: The answer to all your questions can be found one photo to the left in my photostream...

Unsure what this weed, thistle, wild plant is. Had a look on Google and a few identifier websites but no luck. Perhaps "I can't see the wood for trees." as the saying goes. Guess it will be easier to identify when in bloom.

Я за тобой наблюдаю ;)

It may be when a cloud passed over the sunlight as I was taking the picture.

I've been online A LOT, scanning pages of photos, trying to find inspiration for wedding decor and flowers. Despite this onslaught of visual stimulation however, my flickr faves always bring a smile to my face and instantly make me feel lighter and happier.

As usual, I simply have to direct you to my favourited photos/video that aren't appearing in my mosaic:

I love the sounds guinea pigs make. And this one is soooo cute. Even if he is a little pissed off

This is one of the originals from which I got some of my favorite creations. It's not easy to sit a camera over a tiny viewing hole in a kaleidoscope, and then there was no way to tell exaclty what image I would have when it was all said and done, but the end result was worth the work. I liked being surprised by whatever changes happened in the base while I was positioning the scope and camera.

Another fantastic macro capture by our USGS Bee Inventory and Monitoring Lab. This one is called, "Lasioglossum accuminatum" and comes to us from Cape Cod National Seashore. You can see more of these ridiculously close up bees by following @USGSBIML on Instagram! instagram.com/usgsbiml
