Poppy macro
Did you know that a poppy is a part of the Papaver family? We see so many of them, I just thought, well, let's join and do a flower upload!
El tallo oscuro difuminado que aparece a la derecha simula la sombra del tallo donde está posado este macho de Lestes barbarus, fotografiado en una charca próxima a la localidad conquense de Carboneras de Guadazaón.
The dark diffused stem that appears on the right simulates the shadow of the stem where this male of Lestes barbarus is posing, photographed in a pond near the town of Carboneras de Guadazaón in Cuenca.
there is another in which it proves to us how little our eyes permit us to see :-)

Looking through the trash for inspiration I saw this wonderfully colourful Sensations Poppadoms Lime and Coriander packaging, conveniently on the top (so still nice and clean)
On the rear of the foil packaging was a small logo which was perfect for a macro shot.
.....and yes, they were very nice!

Macro Mondays # "Souvenir"
When on holiday, I very seldom bring back souvenirs. However, I do try to look for nice and unusual shells.
This particular shell was purchased in the beautiful seaside town of Whitby, North Yorkshire.
I took my first shot of this occurrence (bees drinking water) about a year ago. It was from further away, and with fairly poor light. This one hasn't dipped in yet, but the light, color and detail are far beyond what I caught last time. It helps when you aren't afraid to get really close - this was taken about 8" away. Got many more shots of them drinking, but this one just stood out from the rest.
