A small cold hoverfly, spotted this hoverfly on my Euphorbia blossoms looking a bit miserable. Persuaded it to walk on to my finger to warm up a bit

Hoverfly, Episyrphus balteatus in the "studio". Focus stacked using zerene. Same hoverfly as previous on finger shots. I eventually released the hover into my greenhouse which does at least have frost heating

Photographié à l'aide d'un 50mm inversé sur le boîtier, une technique que j'affectionne et parfaite pour débuter en macro sans se ruiner

Back in May 2017 we visited my parents and I got to use my Dad's old Tamron 100-300mm on my Canon DSLR. Together with a 21mm extension tube I managed to take this shot of a bee approaching a flower. This was the first time I ever used a tele lens for close up photos. A much easier way of stalking bees than using a 50mm. But a 50mm will always give you sharper images, so it's a hard decision which one to use.

Movimento Rolex, in primo piano una boccola rifatta da mio papà. Si può notare che non si chiude correttamente perchè la gabbietta è troppo corta.
