Blue bottle fly feeding on sugar/honey syrup on a camellia leaf. Focus stacked using zerene

For me, this contrast pair was not so obvious. But when I cycled through Lobloch in the bright afternoon sun, I spotted the fountain from which I made already a picture. And the macro of the water-tap matched the today's task quiet nicely. The more often I look at the photograph, the more I like it :)

Still testing my new camera...and I love it!

My sister is nice to me. When she buys a bag of jelly beans, she saves all the black ones for me. She doesn't like them.

On occasion, I've bought a bag with different flavors and saved the black ones for myself. I think they're the best! Then, I'll give all the other colors to my sister. It's only fair.

Today, I bought myself a bag of black jelly beans. They'll be my photo editing food for a while. Black jelly beans are one of the nicest features of spring!

That ant started looking at me after my several attempts of taking a good capture. It stared at me for almost a minute. My lens was pretty close, I would say like at 10cm away from it. That ant was not a coward at all!

None of the flies (or other insects) in my photos are frozen or dead. None have been manually 'posed'. All are photographed alive and well in their natural environment, unless they are being killed or eaten by another insect in the photo.
