Thymelicus sylvestris

I had put this DIY diffuser on the flash for the first time and was trying out exposure and flash power adjustment. So in that trial, I took this shot of a lily stamen and surprisingly, almost everything was in place. Moreover, the subject was nicely in focus too.

Macro Mondays - Double Exposure

This wooden photo frame was made from an old door which now uses its 'decayed' looks to add texture to our favorite wedding picture and gracefully store our memories.

This week is a liquorice spiral from my bag of all sorts. Happy Macro Mondays.

A couple of tiny jubilee clips, hard to capture the scale, I can't even get my pinky inside one.

This block of glass is just under 1.5 inches long and has a laser etched crab to depict the Cancer zodiac star sign. Happy Macro Mondays.

When I was a kid I had a microscope/binocular in the basement of my house and I would look at insects. I was always caught between fascination, awe and pure fear. Especially when they started moving unexpectedly under the binocular. I’m trying to recreate this feeling in these photos but I’m still struggling with macro techniques.
