View for our main workspace. This is were we spend most of our day. His and hers Macbooks for work-related stuff, blogging, rss-feeding and so on. A Humax LCD 32'' is connected via DVI to a Mac Mini Intel Core Duo and acts as our main and only "Media Center" experience. It is connected to two roomy external HDD that houses all our movies and TV Shows. With the help of Frontrow and the excellent Sofa Control, I can do most of the stuff from my Sofa without keyboards and mouses.

Introduction of a Wacom Bamboo graphics tablet to my setup.

Today the Danbos were watching their favorite Movie: Wall-E. They love that little robot. Mini always aks when we'll watch Wall-E for the next time. He just can't get enough of that movie.

This is my current desktop on my MacMini. I try to change it frequently, it helps keep my creativity flowing!

The 'polaroid' looking photos in the bottom left corner are there via a program called "Photo Desktop" and it is freeware put out by Alwin Troost.

I have been wondering for some time what to do about the Apple end times. The transition to 64 bit OSX will shut down my LR 6 program ( and other shit ).

I have been resisting updating to a newer OS for this reason.

A few weeks back I bought an older MacMini and got Lightroom running today. The catalog is linked and I uploaded my latest photographs . It was stressful. The idea is to stop my personal Red Queens Race and have a old Mac running old Lightroom and old what ever the shit.

So embargo the Fargo and end the updates and I hope ( but will probably fail ) to keep using the same fucking piece of Adobe software until I die. A short life remaining is my only hope to achieve this goal.

Cheers.

Not quite organised but probably the tidiest it will be for a while.

New everything desk wise and all hacked together from Ikea bits.

The Perturbed Sanctum

The Perturbed Sanctum

Well, here's where I've been practically all day - in my study! I finally made up my mind to complete my website and so I've been writing code all day. You can just about see a glimpse of it on the bigger monitor. The downside though is that I've not been able to go outdoors for my daily shot, and I couldn't be bothered setting up stuff for a still life shot. So here you go.

Hope you're all off to a great start of the week! :-)

I was talking to my old flatmate Jack on MSN last night and these were his parting words:

23:56:12 jack: gtg, bbl - i demand a shot of your desk, in its current state, with your next blog post

23:56:14 jack: that is all

23:56:15 jack: farewell

23:57:23 stuart: hahahah

23:57:35 stuart: asshole

Having lived with me for a year he knows i'm not the tidiest of people and my desk is usually packed with stuff, so here it is, untidied from last night.

Taken with my fisheye adapter, hence the dodgy blurred corners.

My macmini has officially become a pile of scary, confusing crap, and I am leaving it up to Apple Support to fix it, though since it's a few years old, I bet it's done for.

My point in complaining to you, flickr, is because I am unable to open my editing software, so all editing can only be done in iPhoto, which makes for less than awesome photos, sometimes.

I hope it's fixed soon. I feel dead inside without my photo editing!
