This is my plush I made, affectionately referred to as Footmonster, and the box with Ashley Barnes' plush. She put a plush slinky on it and I thought it looked like some sort of tube, so I wanted to market it as some sort of machine. Then I thought it'd be funny to make a child safe version of a machine no child should operate, and that's how I came up with the child safe espresso machine. This was one of my favorite projects because I sew and this was the only project that even remotely related to my major. It was pretty fun though. Sewing fake fur was a lot easier than I thought it would be, and I used both hand stitching and machine stitching to make sure that no threads were visible.
Last 22 of the #miwok100k were very rough; when I got home I found I had chafed worse than I had every chafed before. That may have altered my stride the last third. Forgot to oil the machine this morning! On the plus I got 144,545 steps for today. On the more plus side I shared many miles with lots of cool people from around the bay and around the country.

A very rare Golf impactor from the 1917/1920 period. Manufactured by: The British Golf impactor Ltd makers and patantees of the Impactor golf machine. This company was based in Glasgow (Scotland). The instrument is used to measure the force with which a ball is hit. And another hand shows the direction of the ball. In fact the predecessor of the current golf trackman !. This wave impactor was found on a loft in 1975 from a golf store. In 2014, this item was 1 of the showpieces of an exhibition about the history of the Dutch golf. A similar specimen can be found in the Danish golf museum. Further on you'll find photos from advertisements from around 1917/1920 period about this golf impactor.

A bizarre postscript to this early period of roundabout building is something called the Razzle Dazzle of the 1880s and 1890s. On Thursday night I machined this jig that will help me hold the top in the right position when I attach it to the bottom of the chest. This jig is the same height as the chest bottom plus half the thickness of the hinge, and the same depth as the thickness of the lid. You'll see it in action in a few weeks. Such vertical supports are called "crickets." Don't ask me why.

And after researching different chiefs to suit the look I was going for with the sewing machine illustration I found a suitable chief host Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall that I thought would go really well with my free machining embroidery illustration just because he has a really earthy fell to his food so i thought this would match up best with the direction I was going
