Someone at the beer store recommended this to me, telling me it was delicious. But I recall seeing reviews in the past saying it was a horrible beer, but I wanted to be fair and try it for myself.
The main theme behind this beer - tiny tiny tiny bubbles, oh my! Does it improve the taste of the beer? No, it's just for show it seems. With people preferring weird gimmicks over actual beer, I can see this eventually becoming a hit with douchebags and my mom.
Taste wise, first thing that came up in my head was "this tastes like Molson Kick." I hadn't had Molson Kick in 5-6 years, but that's what it reminded me of. It tastes like a stale beer that someone left opened in the fridge for a few days. Has quite a bit of corn in it, so it's corny.. of course. Not much aftertaste. Not much else.
It's 4.9% ABV, this will be a hit with the girls who don't want a good tasting beer, but a beer thats OMG there's tiny bubbles!
Dear Molson, if you are going to bring a beer into the Manitoba market, please bring Molson Export instead..
