Even at China Beach, the M-16 was always there. A couple hours from some hot dogs, chips, beans and lots of 3.2 beer, and then, back to the war.
Thursday morning 15.09.2011 Cruise ship M/S Nordlys was on her way from Bergen to Kirkenes when the explosion took place in the engine room, which caused a fire on the board of M/S Nordlys. Two crew members were lost and several of them were injured and taken to hospital, including three rescue workers. The cruise ship is moored alongside the pier at the moment and has now a port list of 20 degrees. The list of 20 degrees is maximum what the passenger liner could take, before capsizing. The situation is critical.
It is Friday morning 16.09.2011 and The situation is still critical, the passenger ship list has increased 2 degrees over the night. The rescue units are struggling to get the water out of the M/S Nordlys with the water pumps.
Hope the best!

M.V.Argyle departs Wemyss Bay for Rothesay. Built in Poland and launched in 2006, it entered service in May 2007. Sister ship to M.V.Bute and identical in apperance, M.V.Argyle has some minor internal differences.
Wilson's Sandwich Shop has been in Findlay, OH since1936, and was founded by "Stubby" and June Wilson, the same folks that started the famous Kewpee hamburger chain in Lima, OH. Since a Kewpee was already open in Findlay, they chose to name the restaurant after themselves.
They owned the restaurant until Wilson died in 1967 and Mrs. Wilson died in 1979. Over the years, the restaurant flourished under Paul Fenbert, who managed Wilson's for 35 years until his death in 1972. The shop is now owned by Harold "Lance" Baker, the current manager; Maxie Curtis and Wilbur "Webb" Fenbert.
"We used to make little balls of the meat with an ice cream scoop, which made the burgers round," Alice Fenbert, who worked at Wilson's from 1946 to 1965, said. "Now we have a machine that makes the patties, which is why they're square."
The restaurant continues to grind its own meat. Since 1946, Wilson's has worked with local 4-H clubs to buy steers at the Hancock County Fair so the restaurant can use fresh, local meat.
Having ate there, I can attest that the Hamburgs are great and juicy, the fries good, and the "malts" more like a Wendy's "Frosty" than a typical malt... but still very good. Service is fast as lightning (unless there's a line), and prices quite reasonable.
There are some claims that the square burgers here were the inspiration for Wendy's burgers, but these are certainly better IMHO.
The above is one of their burger wrappers, unchanged in design for many years. Mine were scrunched up and had grease on them, so I asked the counter lady if I could have a fresh one. She was happy to hand it over. I said "You know, these would make great t-shirts!", to which she replied "You're right, they sure would!". I hope they make some, 'cause I'll be buying one along with a "special & fries" (Only $3.15).
Oh, they also have some great looking pies, but I was stuffed from two specials already.
