La información sobre esta cámara de diseño cuanto menos curioso es poca o ninguna, incluso la fecha de su producción es meramente estimativa.
Se trata del típico producto encargado para su distribución en campañas de marketing o regalo publicitario que también habría podido ser vendido en las tiendas de merchandising de la firma. Por los datos que figuran grabados en la propia cámara, se sabe que el encargo correspondió a PF Concept que es una conocida firma especializada en estos menesteres y que a su vez habría sido fabricada en Hong Kong.
La cámara tiene un curioso y muy colorido diseño en el que se representa la figura antropomórfica de la mascota de los famosos caramelos M&M’s. Si, esas bolitas aplanadas de color variado, hechas de chocolate y cacahuete recubiertas de azúcar y que según el eslogan “se funden en tu boca, no en tu mano”. Curiosamente y según cuenta la leyenda oficial, surgieron cuando Forrest Mars observó durante la Guerra Civil Española que los soldados cubrían su chocolate con una capa dura de azúcar para evitar que el calor lo derritiera. El crecimiento de la denominada posteriormente Corporación Mars fue tal que hoy es uno de los emporios de la alimentación con ventas superiores a los 30 mil millones de dólares, entre cuyos productos se encuentran los citados M&M’s y otras chocolatinas como Twix, las barritas Snickers o los Maltesers pero también productos para la alimentación de mascotas como Pedigree o Whyscas. Además, en una operación realizada a mediados de 2008 y con la ayuda financiera de Warren Buffet, la Mars Incorporated adquirió Wrigley por unos 23 mil millones de dólares, uniéndose como empresa filial y añadiendo a su oferta los archiconocidos chicles Orbit, los Boomer y los Sugus.
Bueno, volviendo al tema, añadir que es una cámara para la toma de instantáneas sobre película de 35mm, provista de un flash integrado que opera con una batería alcalina del tipo AA. Dispone de una correa con los logos de la marca que también aparecerán impresos en los bordes de las fotografías al ser reveladas. En fin, técnicamente poco más se puede decir pues su adquisición se circunscribe al mero antojo personal.

MMMmmm! Very simple, but it's not exactly health food. :-)
Melt two sticks of margarine in a large bowl. Mix in 3 cups oats, 1 1/2 cups flour, 1 cup brown sugar, 1 tsp baking soda and 3/4 tsp salt. Save 1 1/2 cups of the mixture, and press the rest into a 9x12 pan. Bake 10 minutes at 375 F.
Melt 2 tsp shortening (i.e. Crisco) in a saucepan, and add 1 cup M&Ms. Crush them as the chocolate melts, creating a mosaic effect. Remove from heat and stir in one can sweetened condensed milk. (This is the filling.) Spread over the cooled baked crust. Sprinkle bits of the reserved dough on top, then sprinkle 1/2 cup M&Ms over that. Bake for 20 minutes at 375 F.

In many respects the M-47 tank is a modernized World War II M-26 Pershing.
The M-46 Patton Medium tank, named after the famous George S. Patton, was a mixture of previous designs, and by the time it was fielded in 1949, it was already somewhat obsolete.
Army ordinance decided to use the M-46 as the basis for the M-47.
The urgent need for development of a new tank was becoming even more critical when war broke out in Korea in 1950. Although some M-26s and M-46s were available, they were already considered obsolete and a new medium tank was needed badly.
Eight thousand, five hundred and seventy-six (8,576) M-47s were produced between June 1951 and November 1953. One of the disadvantages of the M-47 was that the turret could not be turned manually, which made the tank vulnerable if the turret’s motor broke down. Ironically, no M-47 saw any action in the Korean War. As a durable vehicle, most of them were exported under the US mutual aid program. The M-47 was also made famous in the movie “Full Metal Jacket”.

The Mary M Lewis of Barbados was a schooner that sailed between Bridgetown and Georgetown, she was built in St. Lucia for Capt. A L Marshall. Slide dated 22 Jan, 1968, but the photo may have been taken in 1965, Outboard of the Mary Lewis is the Cyril E Smith of St Vincent. Photo taken in Bridgetown.
