"Sundance" is a new kid on the block. She has taken over the anchor place from "Saga Queen", a larger vessel, which was specially build to sail the harbour as a restaurant cruise ship (I'll see if i can find some old pictures).
She was built at James & Stone Ltd., Brightlingsea, England, in 1971
- and she was baptised "Gay Enterprice"! =D
Trivia: (translated from www.cafesundance.dk/2-om-cafe-sundance.html)
M/S Sundance first sailed Gosport - Portsmouth, then sailed on the Thames as Party Ship. The current(?) owners bought the ship in 2008 and re-built it into a luxury accommodation as a houseboat. Until March 2011 the ship was as a private residence in the center of Copenhagen, and then it was shipped to Svendborg to be converted into a cafe and "Bed & Breakfast". The living area is approx. 500 square meters.
The ship is seaworthy and it's driven by Schottler propulsion system. Two engines provides respectively 275 and 525 hp. There are three generators on board, which together can provide 130 KWH. The vessel is insulated for year-round use. In addition to central heating, there are three fireplaces onboard, each of which can provide 14 KWH.

I'm a bit disappointed with this shot, and if the weather gives me the opportunity later in the month, I may try to change it.
There turned out to be a woeful lack of Scrabble board in our household - I know it's here somewhere, I just have no idea where! - and the charms which I've improvised with don't actually spell SNOW..... ah well. I was never going to be able to do the original justice and I was so thrilled to get Ginni B to tribute because I adore her frost shot. I will try to do better later Ginni!
We've had a fun morning pottering about inside and tramping in the snow in the garden. Noah kept falling over and was veeeeeeeeery damp and slightly blue when we came inside (oops), but seemed to have had fun! Mr RS has just set off on a long snowy journey to work in Hampshire (from Derbyshire) so I am single-parenting for the next 2 days.
Now I'm going to close the laptop and go and concentrate on having fun playing with my boy.
Happy Snowy Sunday everyone!
This BMC Probus was seen in London on 21st August, 2016, operating for M & M Coaches, High Wycombe. The registration gives away its ancestory with Village Green, Shobdon, whilst the livery is that of Cornish operator Tilleys.
It ain't straight and it's cropped too tight. But since the lens is a 85mm, I was already breaking my neck/lying down on the concrete, trying to focus it from as low as possible to make the M fit the picture. :-)
It's actually the facade of one of the local shopping malls, already prepared for the Christmas rush ... It even looks nice from the proper angles at night :-) [no, I'm not a shopping/mall fan. does it show? :-) ]

I'm a pretty hardcore Lightroom user, but I figured I'd take a crack at processing photos with the latest version of Aperture. I really like the color tones and the amount of fine tune control I get. I'm also really digging the full-screen UI and adjustment HUD. No need to worry about which module I'm in. Tethered shooting is a *huge* plus.
However, overall performance isn't so hot on my 2-year-old MacBook. There's noticeable lag when I get deep into editing. Lightroom is way faster with the same types of processing. Also, in order to use the Dodge and Burn editing tools, Aperture creates a new TIFF or PSD. Lightroom just stacks adjustment brush edits on top of the master file. Considering how much I use adjustment brushes, this might be a deal-breaker.
I'll play around with it some more over the next few days and see how I feel. Right now, I'm kind of split on it.

Muddy Waters said it best:
"I'm ready, ready's anybody can be,
I'm ready, ready's anybody can be,
Now I'm ready for you,
I hope you's ready for me"
And this guy is indeed ready, with 50 or 60 rounds in two magazines taped together. They are only .22s -- but there's a lot of them!
