...If in some smothering dreams you too could pace
Behind the wagon that we flung him in,
And watch the white eyes writhing in his face,
His hanging face, like a devil's sick of sin;
If you could hear, at every jolt, the blood
Come gargling from the froth-corrupted lungs,
Obscene as cancer, bitter as the cud
Of vile, incurable sores on innocent tongues,--
My friend, you would not tell with such high zest
To children ardent for some desperate glory,
The old Lie: Dulce et decorum est
Pro patria mori
(dulce et decorum est. wilfred owen. 1917)
shot this the other day in husky...the water at the moment is just beautiful...cold...but pretty good to look at...you can see all the way to the bottom at husky wharf, and a cuttlefish the size of a large football was floating around the piers.
When the sun is reflecting off the surface it is very easy to forget we inhabit a smaller portion of the earth than those creatures below...and all may not be quite as it seems...

Pink Sticky Lies collage. This collage is one of the largest & one of the first that I have ever done.
It took me two months because I cut all the photos out of fashion/pop culture/& other various magazines. It was supposed to be a satire on Paris Hilton & Nicole Richey, when they had their
show together travelling across the U.S. & visiting staged scenarios! My college English classes
loved it & it said what you could communicate without using many words/phrases/etc.! JOHN.

I promised my daughter I'd take her to the park today (also meant Amy got some time to concentrate on her stuff!) So we went to the local park and then decided to take a walk through some woods which lead to another park! So walking across Ellie spotted some dogs playing catch and we went to get a closer look where Ellie counted 6 Border Collie's. They were incredibly adorable and very photogenic, thanks to the lady that let me snap the pics of her dogs, i didn't catch her name!
This is a tight crop as i didn't take my telephoto with me on the walk. A couple of the dogs were very well trained and when the owner was throwing the ball two of them would sit either side. Very clever
