First named storm of the autumn-winter 2018/19 season. We got off relatively lightly down here, 50 mile an our winds which is light compared to some parts of the UK.

I woke up early and went for a walk while there were not many people around, just a few joggers and people who are still going to work. It was zero degrees but sunny so lovely light.
Then back home, breakfast and work from home!
Poole lifting Bridge is closed to traffic this week, but open to walk and cycle across. The car park where I took this shot is usually closed off but was open and deserted today.

Not the best shot as I didn't have the zoom lens with me, but it was amazing to see so many pheasants in one field.

Shaftesbury Abbey entrance (shot through the gate as currently closed).
It was founded by King Alfred in 888 AD. We are currently watching the drama "The last Kingdom" which is about King Alfred, and those times and I love history. Must visit the inside when it re-opens.

Thanks to all the support through the year, during my 365 project, which is drawing to a close.
Next year I am planning to do a 52 weeks project, so will take a year off the 365 photos.

Another weekend, another named storm. Compared with last week the winds are not as strong but it's much wetter and there's flooding in places.
