For my 120 photos in 2020 number 26 "contre-jour", I have to admit I did not know what this meant until joined this group. I thought today would be a good opportunity to try to get a shot for this topic.

Lunchtime walk in Bournemouth Gardens. It's been so wet and dull, that this is the first chance I've had to get some autumn photos before the leaves fall. There may not be too many leaves left, but the colours are amazing at this time of year.

I've not been well enough to work for the last couple of days, even though working from home. Hopefully be OK for tomorrow, as I hate being off sick.
Must be feeling better as picked up my camera, always a good sign.

Der Sechzehnfleckige Marienkäfer, der manchmal auch Sechzehnfleckiger Pilz-Marienkäfer genannt wird, ist etwa einen halben Zentimeter groß,. Er hat ebenfalls die für Marienkäfer typischen, bulligen Körper und den schwarzen Augen. Außer den Augen gibt es keine Übereinstimmungen mit unseren einheimischen, jedenfalls keine farblichen: Ihr gesamter Körper ist sowohl auf der Ober- als auch auf der Unterseite hellbraun bis orange gefärbt und statt der sonst üblichen schwarzen Punkte auf den Deckflügeln besitzt Halyzia sedecimguttata weiße Punkte und zwar, wie der Name bereits erahnen lässt, 16 an der Zahl, also 8 Punkte auf jedem Deckflügel.
