Die Harzer Schmalspurbahnen GmbH (HSB) ist eine Eisenbahngesellschaft im Harz. Ihre Strecken sind hauptsächlich dampfbetrieben und gelten als eine überregionale Touristenattraktion.
Das meterspurige Streckennetz erstreckt sich über eine Länge von 140,4 km und ist ganzjährig in Betrieb. Deshalb nennt sich die HSB „Die Größte unter den Kleinen“. Das Netz besteht aus den drei Einzelstrecken Harzquer-, Selketal- und Brockenbahn. Die Anfangsbuchstaben dieser Strecken ergeben HSB, was dem abgekürzten Namen des Unternehmens entspricht.

My husband and I celebrate Yule tomorrow. This is our altar set up with the tapestry depicting the wheel of life and seasons.

The palazzo il Salone (big hall) measures 82 meters long, 27 meters wide and 24 meters high.
The original frescoes of the hall, attributed to Giotto, were destroyed in the fire of 1420.
The hall was frescoed again between 1425 and 1440 with a grandiose cycle of astrological paintings based on the studies of Pietro d’Abano, by Niccolò Miretto and Stefano da Ferrara.
The decoration consists of more than three hundred different scenes divided into two sections: the upper area, dating back to the fifteenth century, contains scenes that develop over three levels and shows that each month of the year corresponds to certain signs of the zodiac, trades and character traits.
The lower area is less densely decorated and contains parts of the 14th-century frescoes.

Schloss Sanssouci (von französisch sans souci ‚ohne Sorge‘) ist ein Schloss in der ehemaligen Residenzstadt Potsdam. Es diente von 1747 bis 1918 als Sommersitz der preußischen Könige und deutschen Kaiser. Wegen seiner kunsthistorischen Bedeutung wird Sanssouci auch preußisches Versailles genannt.

Ein Kurzbesuch in Inzell und Umgebung und ein Abstecher nach Niederbayern!
The gardens were established in 1973 by Alan Gray and Graham Robeson, who have created a 32-acre (130,000 m2) design which incorporates exuberant and innovative planting alongside a more traditional formal design. On an unpromising site, close to the North Sea and surrounded by arable prairie, the gardens are protected from harsh onshore wind by a shelter belt of Monterey Pines which created a unique micro-climate. Exotic and unusual plants from around the world flourish alongside more hardy species. Notable are the tree ferns, succulents and palms which surround the house, as is the Californian 'Desert Wash', the Exotic Garden with a water sculpture and a large cornfield sown with a selection of native but now scarce 'weeds' such as cornflower, poppy and corn marigold. The gardens contain an interesting collection of sculptures by local artists as well as many architectural features.
