A wearable rainbow in the form of a crocheted rope bracelet, made by a friend of my mother's (magrit k.). I also have a necklace to accompany the bracelet but with a diameter of 1 cm/ 0,39 inches (just like the bracelet) it is a little too thick for my personal (neck) comfort.
I've watched a few tutorials on YouTube to understand how this type of bracelet (or necklace) is made, and I should admit that my head was spinning after watching just a few minutes. Crocheting, braiding, or even knitting have never been my favourite DIY pastimes, I'm simply not good at all at this repetitive type of craft. And this style of bead crocheting seems to be super complicated and finicky because the very tiny seed beads (rocailles) are the required main "ingredient". So it definitely was a lot easier (and faster) to photograph the bracelet than to make it ;)
This is a single shot of the bracelet which I'd placed in front of my go-to black foam sheet. The bracelet has a magnetic clasp which I've opened before so I had a single bracelet layer only. I've taken another photo for which I've used the necklace that I had arranged in several layers but that was a little bit too much of a "rainbow colour explosion", plus I also prefer the slightly weird-looking "space worm" shape of the single layer bracelet with the black negative space around. Shot wide open at F/2.8 to get a super tight focus and some nice, bubbly "ball pit" bokeh :)

Finally I got around to process and upload another one from the epic Easter photowalk with m_laRs_k and magrit k.. It's another view of Shell-Haus (Shell House) in Berlin's Tiergarten district. The unusual cascade-like building was designed by German architect and professor Emil Fahrenkamp (1885-1966). It was opened in 1932 as a Berlin branch of the Hamburg-based oil company Rhenania-Ossag Mineralölwerke which was acquired by Shell plc in 1947 as "Deutsche Shell AG". Heritage-protected Shell-Haus is a 2.700 m²/29062,56 sq ft steel frame construction designed in the style of New Objectivity. Die Holzkirche in Elend ist ein Sakralbau im Ortsteil Elend der Gemeinde Oberharz am Brocken im Harz. Die Kirche wird von der Evangelischen Stadtkirchengemeinde Elbingerode genutzt. Sie gilt als kleinste Holzkirche Deutschlands und wurde am 27. Juni 1897 geweiht.

The Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church (in German: Kaiser-Wilhelm-Gedächtniskirche, but mostly just known as Gedächtniskirche is a Protestant church affiliated with the Evangelical Church in Berlin, Brandenburg and Silesian Upper Lusatia, a regional body of the Evangelical Church in Germany. It is located in Berlin on the Kurfürstendamm in the centre of the Breitscheidplatz.
The original church on the site was built in the 1890s. It was badly damaged in a bombing raid in 1943. The present building, which consists of a church with an attached foyer and a separate belfry with an attached chapel, was built between 1959 and 1963. The damaged spire of the old church has been retained and its ground floor has been made into a memorial hall.

Das Zeughaus ist ein historisches Gebäude in der niedersächsischen Stadt Wolfenbüttel. Es wurde zwischen 1613 und 1619 (nach anderen Quellen 1617 oder 1618) als Kaserne und Lagerstätte für Kriegsgerät im Stil der Spätrenaissance erbaut. Das Gebäude steht in unmittelbarer Nähe des Schlosses Wolfenbüttel und befand sich ursprünglich innerhalb des Festungsringes der „Dammfestung“. Das Zeughaus ist heute ein wesentlicher Bestandteil des Architekturensembles des Wolfenbütteler Schlossplatzes und gilt als einer der größten Renaissancebauten Norddeutschlands.

»Hellebardier« by Alexander Calder (b. 1898 in Lawnton, Pennsylvania, USA – d. 1976), which is also known by the alternate title »Guadeloupe«, was given to the city of Hannover in 1972 by the collector and art patron Bernhard Sprengel and can be seen as a commentary on his belief that the »Street Art Programme« lacked cosmopolitanism. It was initially installed in front of the opera house, but after public protests it was relocated opposite the Sprengel Museum in 1978.

Das Schloss Derneburg ist eine Schlossanlage in Derneburg in Niedersachsen. Sie geht auf ein 1213 gegründetes Augustiner-Chorfrauenstift und späteres Kloster der Zisterzienser zurück, das in der Mitte des 19. Jahrhunderts von Georg Herbert Graf zu Münster in ein Schloss im englisch-gotischen Tudorstil umgestaltet wurde.
Heute ist die gesamte Anlage im Besitz von Andrew Hall und Christine Hall, die mit der Hall Art Foundation auf Schloss Derneburg eine Kollektion zeitgenössischer Kunst zeigen.

Blankenburg (Harz) ist eine Kleinstadt im Landkreis Harz in Sachsen-Anhalt, Deutschland. Sie trägt seit November 2016 den Titel Staatlich anerkannter Erholungsort. Bereits in der Weimarer Republik warb die Stadt „am Harz“ damit, dass sie den Ruf eines bevorzugten Luftkurortes erworben hatte.

Die Linde in Upstedt zählt zu den ältesten Bäumen in Deutschland, wurde urkundlich schon 1100 erwähnt. Die Sommerlinde ist hohl, der Stamm in mehrere Stücke geteilt und bietet bis zu 5 Personen bequem Platz. Ein Blitzeinschlag kappte in den 1890er Jahren die Krone, im Jahre 1932 entfachten spielende Kinder in der Linde ein Feuer. Dies führte zu einer Sanierung im Jahre 1958. Schließlich verlor der Baum im Jahre 1973 in einem Sturm alle starken Äste. Trotzdem ist die Linde in einem absolut gesunden Zustand, die Krone wird wiederkehrend gestutzt. Auch unter den Namen "Tausendjährige Linde", "Tillylinde" und "Dicke Linde" bekannt.
