Lufthansa Airbus A320 reg D-AIDV operating the daily Dublin to Frankfurt service at 12.30 hrs, flight number LH 979, with its special & now unique Lufthansa retro livery.
D-AIDV was delivered to Lufthansa 19th Dec 2012 in this specially retro livery based on Lufthansa's first post war livery (1950's ), the colour application of the livery was based on paint ingredients & chemicals used in those 1950's, apart from the grey underbelly.
D-AIDV joined similar D-AIRX in retro livery, AIRX was the first to receive the livery back in 2005, flying with cabin crew in historic uniforms.
Seen here departing Dublin on runway 16 ( 16/34 ), this runway is rarely used, giving nice close ups of landings & takeoff's, used due to strong winds.

On Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2009, JetBlue and Lufthansa celebrated the first day of their airlines’ codeshare operation. Customers and Crewmembers were treated to international food and music, highlighting the global nature of the event. JetBlue CEO Dave Barger and Lufthansa CEO Christoph Franz took the stage with Crewmembers from both airlines to mark the milestone day, thanking everyone involved for making the codeshare happen.
