Natural beauty at its best.

This cave had an easier decent.

I got a taxi driver to take me to this park which was 45 minutes outside of town. There were no tours to the park. The beach was gorgeous! Two miles long and maybe ten people other than the two of us. A great place for pictures. There were several trees that were cut down and that had weathered to a silver gray, A perfect day!

One of the first plants I noticed upon arriving were these beautiful huge agaves. Many of them were in bloom sending up huge flower spikes.

Looking deeper into the cave, the water takes on an ever-deepening blue color. Guano floats on top of the water, providing nutrients for the plants and animals here.

Pirates of the Caribbean 2 and 3 were filmed at this beach. Hey, maybe Johnny Depp sat right where I am sitting!

Breath taking. I still can't believe we were actually HERE! I know I want to tour the world and there is lots that Jason and I want to see so coming back may never happen. But if we do come back ,I need to come back to this beach just to prove to myself it is real. The colors are out of this world. The beach was named for a rock that you can barely see in the middle of the picture in the sea. When the setting sun hits it the rock lights up and turns gold! Hence Gold Rock Beach.

Jolie maison de style Bahaméen, de plus en plus rare.

The cave system is connected by water, but visitors have to walk through the park to get from cave to cave. Here is a bit of what that looked like.
