Photographed on U.S. Highway 93 near Boulder City, NV. It's carrying the same type of gigantic tires that would be put onto the Komatsu WA900 that I just photographed or other huge off-road construction vehicles used in open pit mining operations. This Peterbilt 389 has single wide tires rather than dual rear wheels.

Full size display, total length of 164,8 cm / 5'5" and total weight of 7,21 kg / 15.9 lbs. As load it carries my CAT 318C excavator...

Pennsylvania-Reading Seashore Lines Baldwin AS-16 diesel electric locomotive # 6033, is seen leading a combine # 9957, and its train across a grade crossing in Hammonton, New Jersey, ca mid 1950's. These 1,600 hp Baldwin AS-16 diesel electric road switchers were purchase by the PRSL in 1953.

The name of the photographer that captured this image on film is unknown, however, it may have been a John Dziobko Jr. (www.GodfatherRails.com) photo . This photo came in a group of railroad photos included in a received E-mail sending years ago, and is a modified crop of the original photo.

New Haven Railroad DER-3a class ALCO PA-1 locomotive 0762 wearing the standard green with yellow stripes paint scheme and another PA-1 in the McGinnis scheme lead a passenger train along the main line at speed in the winter snow, ca 1959. This passenger train appears to be operating on the Shore Line. The first two cars on the train appear to be heavyweight parlor cars, followed by a number of stainless steel cars. This location is not known, however; their is a grade crossing at this location. A man is standing to the far right and across the tracks is a black with white top Studebaker lowboy designed by Raymond Lowey.

Salaam & Good Friday to all my friend, I'm back with diecast photography =)

This is a very tiny model as it is 1:87 scale. It made from diecast and some plastic part. I love the details especially the rubber tyres=)

A little less than a month ago, it was moving day for the Apache Railway's RS36 #800. The unit was donated to the Navajo County Historical Society last year and they worked to have it painted into the as delivered paint scheme that it arrived in back in September 1962. The Society worked with Southwest Industrial Rigging to perform the heavy lift, and it went very well throughout the process.

It was a great opportunity for me to witness the crews work to prep and then fly the 800 off its trucks and onto a lowboy for the short move to the display site. The 160-ton crane moved the gutted shell of the locomotive with ease and precision onto the trailer. After it was blocked up and secured for movement, the trucks went onto another trailer. Each truck weighed 26 tons per one of the crew members, but I didn't get the weight of the 800 unfortunately.

More pictures of the move coming over the next few days.

One of my favorite county trucks was old No. 67 mated to the 1974 General lowboy No. 219. It served out of the Wampsville division until 1986 when it was transferred to Morrisville. It remained in service until just a few years ago being replaced by a new International tractor (2007 Workstar 7600, Unit No. 5).
