Another misty morning visit to a local wood yesterday, though there wasn’t near as much mist/fog as the day before. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to get out on that day as I was waiting in for a delivery, which never turned up😡.
As the mist wasn’t as moody as I would’ve liked, I looked for details instead. Again I came across a number of these “Fairy Doors” set against the base of trees. There was even a “Fairy Village” with a church.
I believe that the most important skill in photography is the ability to see and sense things. You must be really open, sensitive to different moods, lights, colors. Great technique is important, but more important is the passion for learning. True passion makes you learn fast and the right things. When your heart is ”burning”, no-one can smother your flame.
It is also important to be humble. It keeps you open and you can learn from others better than you. You can’t evolve if you are bitter and envy others.
So, thank you for inspiring me everyday! ❤

A deceptive shot from beautiful rugged Ayrmer Cove in South Devon. Those 'mountains' are just a few feet high but the low angle and the rock pool made me think of an alpine setting. It was the first time we came to Ayrmer Cove at low tide, so we spent hours exploring the rocks and rock pools.

I take pictures because I like it, not because I am good at it.

A sprawling tree reaches upward, its budding branches forming a delicate silhouette against the heavy, swirling clouds of an Iowa spring sky. The Holga’s signature soft focus and dark vignettes lend a dreamlike quality to the scene, emphasizing the raw, atmospheric tension between the new growth and the impending rain. It is a moody, artistic capture that balances the fragility of life with the power of nature.

This is an old fart just sitting there on my hard-drive since June. Already processed but never bothered to post - like so many many others for that matter. While browsing through a massive chaos of completely forgotten stuff - like images and designs on just another external 1/2TB storage device - this one popped-up from the crowd screaming for a second change. Well, I hope you like it and if you don't no hard feelings or whatsoever. Anyway, I'll try to catch-up with your steams as soon as possible. In the meantime wishing you a great weekend!

Wood drake caught in that late day sunlight. Taken at Wildwood lake in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
Thanks for taking the time to view!
Yesterday, the dull grey weather took a break and we enjoyed a glorious sunny day in Sidmouth. The Jacob's Ladder beach is our first go-to spot when we visit and I walked back along the incredible red cliffs, some of them incredibly high. The sound of falling rocks hitting the beach is a terrifying experience, I made sure to stay clear of the cliffs. Piles of fresh rock on the beach are a constant reminder of ongoing erosion of the cliff edge.
A view south and "up" the Rhine from Duesseldorf's river promenade. The ND filter and wind-driven spray made for a natural, moody vignette.
By getting the lens as close to the water line as possible, I was able to capture this bullfrog at its own level. The partially submerged limbs provided the perfect textured "throne." The contrast between the smooth eye of the frog and the rough, decaying wood makes this one of my favorite captures from the marsh.

I am grateful for your continued support and appreciate every view, fave, and comment!
I've decided to upload just a single submission for November's homework.
Reason being I wanted this piece to be a little more interactive than usual.
Perspective has a Latin root meaning "look through" or "perceive," and all the meanings of perspective have something to do with looking.
Synonyms:
outlook, view, viewpoint, point of view, standpoint, position, stand, stance, angle, slant, attitude, frame of mind, frame of reference, approach, way of looking/thinking, vantage point, interpretation
It will be great if you could share with me your thought process on how you perceive this image in the comment section.
Cheers ^o^
