Agios Lavrentios, Pelion, Thessaly, Greece.

Many people take photographs in a standing position, getting an eye-level perspective. It can be interesting to try different perspectives - in this case the camera was about 10cm off the ground. The short focal length takes in a large portion of the beach at Lulworth Cove, in particular giving detail to polished limestone fingers that extend across the beach

Had been out with a new student, doing a lesson with him. We were sort of done by the time I shot this... just sitting in the street enjoying the last of the evening light.

I have an ongoing series of shots from Ginza, of people in outline, silhouette or blurred by camera movements [tilt, shift, swing] or - in this case - selective focus from just the aperture. I'm also somewhat obsessed with road markings....

She's sitting in the very same place behind me as I'm uploading this.

Unfortunately not mine, it's owned by a friend

A Short-Eared Owl scouts out the surrounding area, as it takes a rest on the ground. In some cases, since they blend in so well, I've walked within 3ft of them and not even noticed, depending where they sat. This one was very relaxed, and didn't mind me laying on the ground 10-15ft away. It had flown from a perch nearby, sat for a while, then moved 30 min . or so after that.

A more intimidating view of a sign I posted before.

Last Sunday Cinta passed away and I can't tell you how much I and all the animals miss her. So quite around the farm.

She had a wonderful life filled with travel, adventure and more love than she could handle.

I spent 15 years with this cat, she helped me through the passing of my mum and helped me learn how to live without her so for me the life I have now all I know is that Cinta has been in it. So adjusting with life without her is very strange.

Cinta was the one constant in my life and as weird as it sounds she gave me that unconditional love that you get from parents, she was my support.

Sunday morning her breathing was very laboured, I called the vet and he said if she gets worse to bring her in. I cancelled all my plans for Sunday and stayed with her. I carried her around the farm a few times, sang to her (which she loved) . She was able to walk and whenever I was out of her sight she would move so she could see me. I think she knew her time had come and wanted to be as close to me as possible. By Sunday evening I had to take her to the vet and this in when we said our goodbyes.

Cinta ..... you made my life beautiful.

Its been way too long since i've sat in the warmth and watched the sun go down at Totland Bay, I forgot how much I love it!

I've passed this terazzo floor a million times and never thought much about it. I assumed it was an old newspaper -- sorta sounds that way, anyway.

I did a quick search and it turns out that it was likely a clothing store for youths owned by two sisters in the 1960s and 1970s. Which makes a lot of sense. Milwaukee Avenue has always been home to a lot of different stores. Across the street, the abandoned Grace Furniture sign is still there yet long forgotten. And many storefronts have changed over in the last 5-10 years since we've been here.

Thank you to ottochinotto.wordpress.com/2014/03/14/weekly-daily-young-... for the little tidbit of information.
