Happy 19th birthday to my grandson Deven ....it seems like yesterday I was chasing you around K-Mart pulling you out of the racks of clothes. You were a cute and feisty one!!! Time flies and you grew more handsome everyday. I love you, Deven and cannot believe you've gone from preschool to college in the blink of an eye! I hope that your future is bright. Often at Christmas, when you ask an adult about one of their favorite memories of Christmas's past, it comes up that they loved being in the kitchen. The smells of the holidays, the sweet treats and especially learning to cook with their Grandmothers.
I remember clearly learning with my Grandmother and then my Mom..and we talked about the special treats that only happened at Christmas.
This year, for the first time, I had Liam in the kitchen. We made cookies. He loved it and was so proud of his cookies skills. He especially liked eating the sprinkles, red and green.
If was a fun day and it did bring up memories for me again of those days gone by and also of days to come.
Making Christmas Memories...it still happens. I hope he remembers these times in the kitchen with me when he's a big boy.

Check out his new camera strap..Liam is learning how to shoot on my G-10. He's been doing it for awhile now and is quite good...I got him the camera strap for Christmas and he's pretty impressed with it.
We went out for a bit the other day looking for swans.

I can't tell you how special this little 4 year old is. He whistles, talks a tiny bit, and loves to give me kisses. He's a little rooster, so he sometimes "reacts" with a nip. It's important to read body language!
I don't know that the quality is "great" but I like this because he looks so sweet... wood in beak playful, waving at me because I asked him to. The purple highlights on this boy show up and his maroon-Timneh-tail.
Everybody should have a Bobby-Boy in their life.
My hubby's aunt died a few weeks ago.
Her sons are selling the apartment where she lived.
Today I went to see if there are any books usefull.
Nope.
Apartment was almost empty.
This bear was sitting in a bookshelf corner.
I took him in to my arms and said he is so cute and
whose bear he is?
"It was mine", said hubby's cousin, "do you want him?"
What... are you sure!!!?
This bear was his when he was a kid, and now.. he didn't cared about him anymore.
So, bear came home with me.
It was love at first sight!!!
He is probably from late 1950s.

At the Willows waiting for the sun to come out. It does return every now and again. Liam is getting so big and is such a sweetheart. So happy we still have so much time together.
