Jan. 7, 2010. Went to Ft. Bragg in my new shoes (bought very first thing on New Year's Day) and had a romantic night with my psuedo hubby, complete with champagne. Good night, great shoes. ;)
i've been missing him from my stream so i went digging through the archives and came across this. it's a different comp and i love it. he's such an amazing little boy so i have to share...
— i wanted a 4th of july baby but he picked the 2nd.
— he's super smart and i'm not just saying that because i'm his mama. :P quite the talker and the words he uses along with the annunciation and comprehension blows me away daily. i cannot wait to see how well he does (positive thinking ;)) in pre-k this august.
— he's a total goofball.
— he's so in love with his lovey, taggie is his name (literally, it's a taggie blanket ;)). he's been part of the family and routine since cooper was five months old. sleep would not happen without him, or is it a her? i'm actually not sure what gender he thinks it is.
— he has the best head of hair around and i hear it all.the.time. ;)
— we used to hear what a "bruiser" he was or that he's a future linebacker. he's a bit on the shorter side and consistently in the 75% or above for weight at each check up.
— he tells everyone, and i mean everyone, that he got a train table and two train sets from santa. he really loves his monster trucks, too.
— he loves baseball and the tampa bay rays as much as his parents do. he actually just made a build-a-bear all decked out in rays everything and named him aki, his favorite player.
— he walks on his toes a lot, just like his mama did at this age. doc says he'll grow out of it so we shall see.
— he'd rather watch discovery or the history channel. destroyed in seconds is probably his favorite show.
— as long as i can remember in his three and a half years of life he's loved the space needle. i think i have the little einsteins to thank for that. his meemaw, papa, aunt and uncle will be there before their alaskan cruise in may and have promised one for him to put on his train table.
— he loves music. his favorite songs are ring of fire by johnny cash, the yellow submarine by the beatles and i'm yours by jason mraz.
— he has an imaginary friend named jason. refer to the above, he told me so.
— he was such an independent baby, all i wanted was to smoosh him and he hated it. he's making up for it now though, on his terms of course. ;)
i'll be back in a bit, maybe, with a hbwe shot.
finally. eight years in the making. in real life. so happy. *squeak*
flickr friends forever.
i won't even link his stuff because you probably already know his work well.
love you joel.

Lil Sprout has a perfect view for watching snow fall...he doesn't care how many storms we have, each time is "like new" for him and he has the perfect spot for viewing..

Who else would be there all alone @ midnight ... ? I don’t know ... Probably someone like Allen Ginsberg ... When I go through his poems (especially “Howl”) it feels as if I read him for decades. As if I knew him while he was still alive. As if his poetry was always part of my life even before I could speak English.
Už má pět měsíců! sláva hurá, V noci nespí přes den taky. Beztak si myslím, že to jen hraje a ve skutečnosti nás má hrozně ráda. Konečně začala být pořádně mlsná!
Several of my contacts know the story of this little dude.
He's an outside cat, strictly.
But somehow, while it was pouring down rain last Saturday night, he managed to find a warm blanket fresh out of the dryer, fluffed perfectly and placed lovingly on my living room couch, where he passed out.
Yeah, so.. I stayed up all night (literally), watching him, to make sure he didn't "do anything" anywhere in the house (because he's always been an outside cat, he doesn't understand the concept of a litterbox). He barely moved from 11 pm 'til 6 am, while I watched bad movies on SyFy the whole time, and caught up on old issues of Wired.
Damn (irresistibly-cute) cat.
cheyenne and i decided that as long a she had to do it, we would make todd balance a conversation heart on his nose for a portrait.
she agreed to be in the photograph too, just as long as she didn't have to wear a colander on her head ever again!
since having a heart attack last spring, i have been overwhelmed by the love that i feel for these two fuzzy characters... todd saved my life, and together, he and cheyenne have helped to mend my broken heart in so many ways.
happy valentine's day to each and everyone of my flickr friends. your kindness, encouragement and friendship means more than you know!

A rare quiet moment. Caught him by surprise...we were in the woods together...his eyes are so beautiful and I love him in black and white here. Really, I just love him..Wish I could freeze him right at this age..
Making time for my boy....
Happy 19th birthday to my grandson Deven ....it seems like yesterday I was chasing you around K-Mart pulling you out of the racks of clothes. You were a cute and feisty one!!! Time flies and you grew more handsome everyday. I love you, Deven and cannot believe you've gone from preschool to college in the blink of an eye! I hope that your future is bright. Have a special day. Know that special someone is always with you. xox I am proud of you in so many ways.
