This is the Roman pool from Hearst castle which is located near San Simeon California. Located just after the Big Sur coastline, Hearst Castle is a must visit if you love architecture and old fashioned grandeur. The place is nothing short of stunning but pretty difficult to shoot with the light coming through the windows illuminating certain parts of the pretty dark room. I had to jack up my ISO to 500 to get a pretty decent shutter speed. This one is a 5 shot HDR as they dont allow tripods, hope you all like it..

I love architecture and interior photography.

Now I just move to Spain, I hope to find work as a photographer here.

Yesterday I took a drive down to Truro to visit the cathedral. As much as I love Landscape photography I really l love architecture photography as well.

I'm not religious in the slightest, I'm more of a man of science, but I find the architecture of cathedrals fascinating. How the architects and stonemasons built these impressive buildings hundreds of years ago is nothing but astounding.

Truro Cathedral is a relatively modern Cathedral, despite there being a church on it's site since 1259, the Cathedral that we see now was consecrated in 1887 with building work finished in 1910.

When it came to editing this image my mind was going mental as it's not completely symmetrical. The main part of the Nave is but when you look at the Quire it veers slightly to the left. Also the seating arrangement is slightly off. This was giving me a major headache when I was editing it but it is what it is. The blue boards on the left hand side were part of an exhibition and although they look a bit out of place I decided it was easier to leave them in and not make a mess of it in photoshop.

I have a good few different angles of the building so expect to see a few of them over the next few days.

If you wish to use any of my images for any reason/purpose

Thanks.

In South Africa, we’re currently in lockdown level 4, one down from level 5, the strictest one. We have a bit more freedom now, but we’re still very limited as to what we can do.

As annoying as this may be, though, it’s not all bad. Or as the great Dutch football legend Johan Cruijff used to say: “Every disadvantage has its advantage”.

The biggest advantage of this rather surreal situation is that I suddenly have time to work my way through old folders hiding deep in the abyss of my Lightroom image library. Many of those folders I have never even had the time to look through before, so it’s good fun to do that now.

This image is from one of my visits to Iceland in 2015. It was just the two of us, and instead of going to one of the ice caves that all the tour groups go to, we decided to look for one that we had visited a few years earlier.

We found it again and had the entire cave to ourselves. Obviously, the shape of the cave had completely changed over time, which made it even more interesting.

I love these places as I love architecture, and Mother Nature surely is the finest architect of all.

Truly significant experiences demand our all and when there is nothing left we learn to rely not on ourselves but God; that is the gift of adversity ....

During Christmas Holidays I have gone back to photograph the old quarter

of Sant'Agata de' Goti - Italy (map) that has always fascinated me since the first moment that I saw it.

Walking on Malecon at sunset means become happy and at the same time sad. The air and the people around gives you all these sensations.

The Parisians going through tough time today and days to come. We Pray for them. Look up to Paris, it can glow again!!! I took this on my brief stay in the city in 2013.

Sydney, NSW, Australia

In all the years I’ve been taking pictures I’ve never taken as many images of a single place or object as the Sydney Opera House. Even as I write this blurb, I’ve not fully catalogued all my images from our holiday. I had a vision in my mind’s eye to take a lot of detailed architecture images as well as the conventional viewpoints, which surprisingly consists of only four – north, south, east and west views.

I was going to title this image “Utzon’s Masterpiece” but the history of the project and its construction is a very long drawn out affair, which resulted in Utzon resigning in 1966. Much like the Eiffel Tower and Parisians, the Opera House was hated by Sydneysiders until its completion in 1973, but now it is a much-loved architectural landmark and considered a masterpiece of the 20th century.

Another shot from my trip to Cracow in April. Since I also love architecture, I wanted to visit the congress center who has a nicely bent glass facade. Hope you like it! :)

Fall in love with this amazing view of sacred mount Agung Volcano from the "Heaven's gates". Probably one of the best place in the world

Merry Christmas to all my friends and for those who do not love me to much...♥♥♥

Life is short. What is ahead or just around the corner is unknown. Love, be loved & be happy. Strive to be happy. Everything else is unnecessary noise just like NYC traffic. Only light inside & out. 💖💛💛💛💖

Paris, the City of Lights, is certainly a place for romance and the under Eiffel Tower is the perfect place for a couple's embrace. It was quite cold when I caught this shot, so everyone was bundled up on this November night!

Nothing happened... A hunter's bullet has sung

A bird has flown into the sky where a flock was waiting for it

Nothing happened... Wind has given me wings

I am not afraid of the height, any height...

I'll find a way to you, my friends

The night didn't see how I was crying from resentment

The dawn heard how I sang freely

About what was, what will be

No, I won't believe! I won't believe for anything

That the shadow of the black cloud will hide my way to the light

No, it can't be, I won't believe for anything

That the shadow of the black cloud will hide my way

“I have come back. I wish to see the Master of your town!”

We’ve reached Lake Town and I was looking forward to it since I finished building the Bag End vignettes. I love architecture in LEGO and Lake Town was the perfect place for me to go nuts, hahaha.

I must say Weta did a fantastic job when they brought that place to life.
