This weeks theme for 52 of 2011 is Bokeh... and somehow I knew I wanted something that had twinkling fairy lights in it..

So I took this little house that I bought myself last week, a candle, a set of fairy lights and my kitchen table.. and came up with this.. As soon as I took the shot I knew what the title would be..

Home really is where the heart is..

Moses Cleaveland (January 29, 1754 – November 16, 1806) was a lawyer, politician, soldier, and surveyor from Connecticut who founded the U.S. city of Cleveland, Ohio, while surveying the Western Reserve in 1796.

The place called "Cleaveland" eventually became known as "Cleveland". One explanation as to why the spelling changed is that, in 1830, when the first newspaper, the Cleveland Advertiser, was established, the editor discovered that the head-line was too long for the form, and accordingly left out the letter "a" in the first syllable of "Cleaveland", which spelling was at once adopted by the public. An alternative explanation is that Cleaveland's surveying party misspelled the name of the future town on their original map.

I'm home in Germany, the trip to the states was just amazing. A few pictures will follow.

-Patty and Homer-

That's Homer, Patty's little guy up there in the corner. Yes, the little

ones have had their names for a while now: Homer and Darla. (Hey, I just

listen and call them by the names they give me.:) )

Patty and Homer came to visit me yesterday afternoon. I think Patty was

expecting some birthday cake. You can see here that she is still my little

girl and climbs my leg. In fact, we had a nice little visit yesterday with

Patty on my lap eating kibble while Homer played in the pool. Crazy, eh? I

like it that way.

Happy Furry Friday, y'all!

Reflecting now with home-movies of Allison Crowe and her delightful rendition of a song that’s one of the treasures of Canadiana renewed by “Newfoundland Vinyl”, Theatre Newfoundland and Labrador’s much-loved hit.

This year’s edition of “Vinyl” has begun rehearsals in prep for a “greatest hits” run this Summer at the Gros Morne Theatre Festival, June 11 – September 2, 2016: www.theatrenewfoundland.com/shows/newfoundland-vinyl-the-...

“Now I’m 64” is a traditional Newfoundland parlour song – here delivered by Allison Crowe and Band on their debut release, “Heirs + Grievances”. Earlier variants include recordings by Atlantic Canada musical legends Ryan’s Fancy, Harry Hibbs and more. The invaluable lyrics and video site “GEST Songs of Newfoundland and Labrador” has plenty to help us cherish an history that’s, joyfully, tunefully alive today: www.wtv-zone.com/phyrst/audio/nfld/01/sixtyfour.htm

A secret moment in little pond

Have you everv read the best seller book "A brief History of Time". I am now readibng this book. It is about unified theory, universe, Big Bang.. scientifc theory. I love to read science that links to Buddhism so I read some of Albert Einstein thinking and last year was the celbration of 100th of Einstein, so I bought lots of books and reading slowly times to times.

Maybe this little dragonflies have nothing to do with that book but who know...the effect of littlecthing to the world..

But I dont know how to give title then the book title comes in my mind...

Just "a brief history of time" here

The carousel of life ...

Starting and returning to the place where I was born.

Happiness being obtainable ...

Being able to get on and off the crazy ride ...

Your will and desire the only thing stopping you .

Gemma Jones let us stay with her folks for a few days. Gemma is the manager of Outré Gallery in Melbourne, and one of the more awesome people we know in Australia. It probably should not have been a surprise to find out that her parents are ALSO awesome.

Every once in a while you meet certain people that you want to BECOME. Within just a few hours of meeting the Joneses we knew that this is how we wanted to be when we were their age, and that we wanted to settle into a home like this. We were rather instantly in love. Tony Jones is quite a well established sculptor in Western Australia (his sculptures are all around the city) and both he and Pam still teach art there in Perth. Tony is also a life long sailor (although we didn't end up having a chance to go out with him on his boat).

As those of you who know kozy are aware, she has an intense and exploratory love of music - always seeking out fresh sounds for her ears, sounds new and old. You would not expect a couple in their 60's to have the same taste in music as a girl like kozy - but once Pam put on Fleet Foxes during dinner a music discussion started and kozy fell in love. How often do you find someone her age that is a fan of everything from Deerhunter to Flying Lotus to Tune Yards and can introduce you to even more great NEW music! Kozy was in love and trading music endlessly the three days we spent with them. We even stayed an extra night even though we'd booked a bed and breakfast in town (and still had to pay for it) because we didn't want to leave.

And lets not forget their house - a few pics won't do it justice, but it is a museum! You could spend months just looking at things - art and sculpture and design and knick knacks everywhere you look. It was heaven!

Big thanks to Gemma and Ben and Tony and Pam and Buffy and Scooter too (hope you feel better little guy!).

On EXPLORE

In my garden, this flower was falling on the water in the little water lilly pond ...

And I followed that falling

I just love how lovely... that water touch this flower. Seeing tihs pond with Frangipani on water reminds me of spa atmosphere or Bali garden.

Well this little pond becomes just memory because neighbor kids played football and the hit of the ball made leakage...

(added)... Actually I get these colors right fron camera by spot exposure. I tried PS to adjust exposure by level and curve but it changes worse... so just framed it.. I also love this rich colors and also the layers of water tension surface

e il male pensò bene di rendere complice il fiume: ai più fortunati tolse subito la vita, a tutti la sola merce di valore rimasta. sessanta paia di scarpe sono li ad inciampo della nostra memoria.

so the evil he made accomplice the river: to lucky ones immediately take the life, to all take the only goods of value remained. sixty pairs of shoes are there to stumble in our memory.

Decorated for our cozy lifestyle in red, black and gold. Crazy about the red venetian plastered wall behind the TV. High gloss polyurethane makes it look like shiny nail polish. Up lights create stage lighting .

I'm back in Chicago, but this is not a night for processing photographs. This is a night for changing into comfy sleep clothes, hanging out with Ross and processing our holiday to the place that used to be home (and still is, a little bit).

So until later, there is this. It pretty much sums up my trip.
